Appalachian Trail?

Hey everyone! I was wondering if there are any couch surfers out there who have hiked the Appalachian trail, or parts of it? It's been one of my dreams to disappear for six months and cut myself off from the rest of the world and hike the trail, so I was curious if anyone around here has ever done it. I'd love to hear about your experience!

Hey Courtney. I just saw this and thought I might help. I hiked 150 miles of the trail between Bear Mountain, NY and Palmerton, PA. It's not much compared to people who hike the full 2200 but I learned a lot of things and would no doubt do it differnetly next time. Are you still looking for information? Do you have any specific questions?
