i have a question!

Hi Guys,

Have you guys ever encountered a situation where the hosts asks you to pay money to stay with them? it's the first time that happens to me. so please provide me some advices! i am not sure how to reply!

Any suggestions is appreciated!

Tell them they should be listing the room on AIR BnB, and report them to CSing.

Hi Guys,
thanks for your responses! :) i love couchsurfing, because it's a place for people to get to know and learn other cultures. so i am surprised when the hosts use it to make some extra money.i sent out the request for 6 days to the host in Japan, and they asked me to pay about $200 to stay with them. as i said earlier, it was my frist time to have this happened to me. that's not what the couchsurfing about. I was still very polite to say "no" to the hosts. have you guys ever encountered the similar situation?

No Rain. Never got in that one, and even if someone asks i'd not encourage that. I'll probably report that profile and give my comments about that. They shouldnt see this as a money making business.

wow!!! I am so shocked Rain!!! I can't believe that host is asking you to pay money to stay with them!! that is ridiculous!! who do they think they are! this is couch surfing!! lol

I am soo offended lol... wow!!! I would report that host...
geez!!!

Rain I'd rather stay in a hotel than to pay to stay with that host...

Please make sure you report there name and account information to the CS team as its completely against everything the CS community advocates and to me, I see it as harrasment.
