For those of you that don't know, Free The Hops is an local non-profit organization pushing to bring high quality beers to Alabama by legalizing beers that have more than 6% ABV or containers larger than 16 ounces.

Free The Hops made big strides yesterday when their bill, HB373 the Groumet Beer Bill, passed the senate! All that is left is to get the governor to sign the bill. If he does not sign it by Thursday, May 21st, the bill will automatically be vetoed. Governor Riley just this week signed a similar beer allowing for the sale of wine with higher percentage of alcohol, so the chances seem likely that he will sign this bill too.

HOWEVER, we need everyone's support. Please take a few minutes to visit the governor's website, and write a short message asking him to please sign HB373, The Gourmet Beer Bill, and please also spread the word to others!
