CoughFest Planning

It has been decided that Des Moines will host their first annual ‘Couch Crash’/‘Couch Fest’ this summer! We will have to work fast because it is to run in conjunction with the grand ol’ IOWA STATE FAIR! Currently, Mark Miner and I think the best time to make this event happen is the first weekend of the ISF (Aug 12-14). I believe Mark has already been in contact with the Mpls CS group and notified them of the plan. If you would like to participate in the planning of the event, Mark is hosting a meeting today (Thursday, June 23, 2011) at his place (111 10th Street, # 223…Downtown Des Moines) at 6:00 pm. If you have questions…Mark’s phone # is 319-389-0998, and mine is 641-221-0370 Hope you can make it…if not, there will be more meetings to come.

Many CS groups across the globe throw a couch crash every year, inviting people from near and far to descend upon their city, crash their couches (of course), and basically get to know why the people who live there love living there. The site went live as of last night...more details will be posted as they get set in stone.
