Hi Sebastian,
When will you be heading to Minnesota? And what would you like to know?
I'll help out as best I can and if I'm around when you arrive, I'd be more than happy to show you around.
Lisa

Hej Sebastain!
I am Norsk/American and my husband is Svensk/American. He volunteers a lot at The American Swedish Institute in Minneapolis, which you must visit. We are both in our 50's, so if you are missing Mor og Far, we could have you over for dinner at any time while you are here. We live in Minneapolis on a lake, so when you come in August we could show you around Minneapolis and take you out on the boat.
I own a travel company, so if you need help with air tickets, just let me know!
There are a lot of Swedes in the area and they have their own group they hang out with. I'm sure you will find some at Gustavus.
The weather here is very similar to Sweden but is colder here in winter (unless you are from Jamtland) and warmer here in Summer.
Public transportation here is pretty poor compared to Sweden. I would recommend that you buy a car when you get here. You can get a really good ugly one for about $2000. That would be your best way of getting around. If not, Ryan can drive you to to St. Peter, but then you will have to get around on foot. Just before you go home, sell the car to someone else for $2000....it's all good!
