New CS intending on traveling White Mts.
Posted March 14th, 2010 - 12:28 am by from Bet Horon, Israel (Permalink)
Hello.
I'm visiting friends in Massachusetts at the moment and thinking about hiking and seeing the White Mts.
I'm looking for a couch and information about trails around (not necessarily the White Mts.)

I'm new to couch surfing, and don't know what is customary. I'm sorry in advance if I this might sound rude or inappropriate.

Thank you :)

I am out of state at the moment. When are you planning to be in NH. Check out the Free State Project CS group maybe some of the FSP members will have room. Hey why not check out the Free State Project and stop by some of our social happenings if your into self ownership. www.isil.org/resources/introduction.swf

Try to definitely see a place called The Flume. ?It is beautiful and I imagine especially beautiful this time of year. It's in the White Mtns area, more specifically I think it is nearby to Franconia Notch.

As for accommodations, try posting on the Dartmouth.edu website and the Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC) sites in addition to the CS community, because those guys have a ton of Appalachian type huts/cabins, just in case CS falls through.

But CS shouldn't fall through, of course. CS is great!

Okay, I hope my advice is helpful and that your travels work out great. Take some pics to share!!! Peace out.

Hi Tal,
I'm an hour or two from the White Mtns by car, but if you don't find any other lodgings, I've room for a couchsurfer. I'm also only a 20 minute hike or 4 minute drive from a segment of the Appalachian Trail. Let me know if you need a place to stay for a few nights. Good luck with your travels.
