Cycling Brisbane - Perth

Hey you guys, I'm planning to do a short Brisbane to Perth cycling trip as a warm-up trip for my Singapore - Istanbul cycling trip.

So as I'm going through loads of blogs and entries on touring websites (crazyguyonabike.com) as route research - and i noticed that nobody does the Adelaide - Perth route. Is there a specific reason to this? no town? no cities? too dry? wild muay thai kangaroos?

Hey Faizal,

First: You are crazy and I love that :)
Second: I haven't done this part of Australia yet but I'm planing a road trip there in a few weeks (by car). And all I heard from people was that it is very hot and a long way without anything.... And just insane....

Hey Sophie,

thanks for the "pat on the back" hahaha. ive asked around some friends who've studied in Perth and Adelaide they basically told me that, yeah its very hot with nothing in between except some old and maybe even abandoned mining town. and scary spiders.

which means i might have to start in Cairns instead of Brisbane and end my trip at Adelaide.
