Crossing my fingers for A LOT of snow this year!

People of this group!

You have no idea how happy I am to have found some co-snowboarding-loving-Frankfurters (I herby declare this a proper word aka CSLF (haha, fits perfectly with CS!) anyways..)

I just moved here: trip to IKEA: check, tried Apfelwine: check-check, found some CSLF: CHECK!!!

Knowing it's only september and the snow season in this region might be a bit far away (or what do I know..?) I still have some snow questions. My questions are as following: How much does it snow here? When do the snowboarding season start? Are there a lot of active snowboarders in this group? Or some that would like to be more active? Where is the closest, most decent place to go boarding?

CSLF, thank you all for your reply, and lets cross our fingers for a lot of snow this year!

This is excellent, Christian! Thank you! I would very much like to join in on some snowboarding with you and your friends. Even though I wouldn't really classify myself as a beginner, it's in the beginners hill you often find the best off-piste slopes.

Please do send me a message next time you go. Spontaneously or planned, I'm in! Perfectissimo!

Hi Mia,

Feldberg is near but it is not that big - next stop is Wasserhuppe. It is in Rhone - about a 2hrs trip by car. And sadly but true the alpes...

Would be awsome to arrange a CS - snowboard trip ;)

cheers Freddy
