I think this is a good way to destroy CS even faster, yes. :-/

But that means that you first have to accept it, they can't make a legal assumption that you've accepted it just because you haven't said that you didn't want to--especially without ever having been asked.
Oder?
Oder?
They should have let us know, at least. If they have not done is that there is something wrong with these new conditions. :-(

Can you please tell me where I find the new ToU? Merci viilmool
I just found the new terms of use, and yes it says that they go into effect tomorrow!!!
In theory they should have been in effect in large parts of the worlds for hours already. But perhaps it is September 21st San Francisco time.
But then they also said on September 14th in the thread "EU-US Safe Harbor & delay of effective date":
"we've decided to delay the effective date of our Privacy Policy to correspond with our opting-in to EU-US Safe Harbor"
"So - the new Privacy Policy and new ToU and EU-US Safe Harbor will go into effect end of next week."
Only that it seems impossible to obtain Safe Harbor certification within one week, and the terms of use and privacy policy in question are incomptable with the Safe Harbor principles and would not be certified even in one year or in ten years.
So the suspense until the shit hits the fan or not continues a few hours longer.

"I say it again and again: That's wrong, your data WILL NOT be deleted! everything remains on their servers. and as soon as you accept the ToU, it can be given away"
But if you delete you data before the new ToU will get into effect and provide some useless data instead they will not be able to use (to sell) your previous data.
I have already removed any potentially useful information, including my current postal address (I will move soon to other so I do not care anyway, but if you write in that address field "Not for sail" the system will accept that). I have changed my e-mail address into e-mail address which I provide only to sign up for some promotion but I never respond to any e-mails send there, so it will be completely useless for them. I did remove all my pictures and provided a link to other web page when they are posted. On the only picture I left there is clear mark "not for sale" and bellow warning that I do not have copyrights to it. The author of this picture will be happy to sue them for use if they ever dare to do it.
Maybe they can keep all the information given previously for safety reasons, but any usage would be illegal. So changing data you provide them with only completely useless data. Unfortunately, I have no doubts, freeloader from FB who does not care for anything else but free room (and sometimes even do not say thanks) will make for C$ probably enough profit but for those who does not like that there is another alternative.
BeWelcome to use it :-)))
