That's a good point, especially since CS is never taking any responsibility for
any event or activity which makes the mention of CouchSurfing even more
misleading:

"By saving this event you acknowledge that events are organized by
individual members and are not sponsored, organized, or reviewed by the
CouchSurfing organization. CouchSurfing cannot guarantee the quality,
organization, or safety of any meeting."

Those are fine as long as they are limited to one community. But meetings which are open also to others, so that they learn about (other) Hospitality Communities, would benefit from being qualified.

In the context of hosting, I have never found the expression "hospitality exchange" appropriate.

I would drop "exchange", as the nature of the hosting activity is not a direct hospitality exchange (but rather an exchange of experience, skills, knowledge, etc.).

In the context of pub crawls etc, even "hospitality" seems inappropriate. Sorry, but these meetings often are not very different from any other. Those who do center around hospitality could be called Hospitality Community Meetings.
