Location: The Couchsurfing Project >> We are against CS becoming a for-profit corporation Copyleft, creative commons and alternative licensing
Hi everybody, i have just created a “no copyright” group, where i would like to promote discussion about copyleft and alternative licensing in general with a practical “feet on the ground” approach: After the transition from analogic to digital era all kind of intellectual work like music, movies, books are now digitalized so they lack of a physical support and are just streams of bits that can be copied with no cost. Most of the companies keep trying to enforce copyright by tecnical o legal means but its failure is proven by the amount of pirated material that everybody of us are consuming every day. I think that industry has to take act of this change and adapt to the real world earning revenue for its intellectual work with a different paradigm. If you are interested let's join the group: http://www.couchsurfing.org/group.html?gid=58583 |
