I had this suspicion, that C$ would filter us out in the search earlier. Now, I checked it. I could find my own profile when looking from a friends account. I did a random search on other members of this group:
- Stefanie Buder (Germany, Loerrach): No hits in Loerrach at all! (I suppose that's a bug, Lörrach is not such a backwater, I think)
- nicklas1 (Denmark, Dragoer): No hits for that location, too...
- Winfried Deijmann (Norway, Royken): No hits for that location...
- A.L.surf (Sveden, Olofstorm): Found him! (Well, there are only two CS'ers in that town...
- ANANDA108 (Germany, Fellbach): Not found.
- ALEXIS09 (France, Lassay-les-Chateaux): Found! (But he is a "Pionieer".)
- ANDREI IOAN (Romania, Sibiu): Found!
I used the "browse Locations" button, because Google Maps won't work on my computer and I would have to unblock half a dozen scriptings to use the porper search. And I looked for members in smaller locations, so I would have less work. May be some-one else could check my results. But for me it would seem, yes, C$ is at least partly censoring the search by not showing opponents profiles. Why should we have expected something else? (Well may be the search function is just crap...?) As far as I understand this filtering could be interpreted as a violation of freedom of speech in US. Any U.S. layers around who want to have some fun with C$?
