For the next Sunday, I would like to make it OPEN to ANYONE and BIG. WHO THE HELL AM I / ARE WE, WHAT'S THE 9S: Cause I wanted to meet people who like what I like and because lonely Sundays are horrible, I tried to gather people interested in surfing or skateboarding or both. For about a month now, a handful of us have been surfing / skating and so far it's been working GREAT ! (the 9S is just the name of the crew as it's cool to have a crew). I know that many people would like to try surfing (we 're in Austra'ia right ?! ), and I (and my more competent friends) would be happy to transmit our surfing skills. Many people have shown interest but few showed up, I think because of the dodgy organising. Here is what I suggest for this week end: - if YOU'RE INTERESTED IN SURFING, no matter your level, the color of your hair or what, (or skateboarding BTW even though you probably need a tiny bit of level as we do park... anyway, be crazy ! ), please leave a post after this one to say you'd join us. You don't need to have a board (you'll rent one for 20 bucks), you don't need skills (you'll learn), just come and enjoy ! It's not a commitment either, you can be interested and not show up that's ok, you're just gonna miss one awesome surfing / beach day ! If many CSers (and others !) want to join, we will meet at Bondi at 12 for a good surfing session, and at 4 the skaters of the crew will move to Fernside. (If not so many people are interested, we'll probably play it selfish and go to Maroubra for surf and skate the whole day, way earlier than that.) If the weather is bad ( = waves too high), we will postpone... INTERESTED IN SURFING AND HAVING FUN THIS SUNDAY ?! COME WITH US !!! (and post to let me know :) )
Posted September 23rd, 2011 - 1:30 am by from Sydney, Australia (Permalink)Ok so apparently the weather will be bad on Sunday but who cares if it's raining right, you'll be wet anyway :) It's just a shame if the waves are too big... Anyway, I will be there whatever happens, so at worst we can crash in a cafe and talk philosophy... The meeting point is on the beach (Bondi), in front of the skate park. That's a watched surfing spot deliimited by 2 blue surfs of the surf patrol. We'll be sitting close to the left surf. Infos will be posted here if changes. Having a quick look on Saturday evening can be a good idea :)

Sadly though I can't make it this weekend due to a back injury, but keep me posted and I'll do my best to make it down! have fun and hope to see you soon, martin

I let a message during the week with the meeting place and time for the Sunday. I haven't found any other way to inform people but you receive notifications from the 9S group you should be aware of what's going on ! Anyway, it's good to know who's pumped to do what, let a post when you can join again ! Also if you have good tips (especially about locations), let us know ! Cheers

One of my friends might be up for it as well! We're both beginners so hopefully someone can help to get us started :)
