Our adventure begins!

Michael Barnett and i are starting a hitchhiking/train hopping/pan handling/traveling/activism/survival/adventure thing! We want to go out of our comfort zone and let the Tao be our guide. I have literally sold almost everything i own to feel free most materialistic bullshit. This idea may come off extreme or crazy but i am extremely passionate about it. I personally feel like HE has helped expand my consciousness and find the courage to follow my bliss. It starts Sunday with a ride from NC to Kentucky. From there we are finding our way to Colorado and after that there is no telling where we will go. We would be most grateful for any help be it tips for our quest, a place to stay for the night, or event just a chance to meet a fellow HEthen.

Sweet guys! That sounds so dope! Depending on how long your travels will run, I'll be in Nashville, TN end of December. More than welcome to crash on my couch/floor..maybe catch a show or something. I suggest you bring the book On The Road by Jack Kerouac. Might find some inspiration <3 All the best homies

Wow! This post seems like just yesterday. I have been so busy with the hitchhiking/train hopping/pan handling/traveling/activism/survival/adventure thing that i haven't had time to post. To update you guys we left Kentucky on the 10th toward Denver CO. We made it there just in time for Occupy Denver which was epic btw! Then after almost a week of the city life we started making our way west-ish. We have hung out in Boulder, Netherland, Golden, Glenwood, Paonia, and now Durango (all in CO). That is a few of the stops that we spent the most of our time. We traveled mainly by hitchhiking which is surprisingly easy. As far as places to sleep we have been camping in national forest. We haven't officially Couch surfed yet but we have been lucky enough find amazing people to let us crash. We are trying harder to get into swing of CS this week. We are currently heading toward Flagstaff AZ and then to south Cali. Thats the short and pretty version on my adventures if you have any questions or advise PLEASE respond. Peace :)

I am so jealous... It sounds like the trip of a lifetime. It is awesome that you are actually doing this! If you pass through phoenix/goodyear before Wednesday let me know! You have a place to stay if you need it... even if I'm not here.

Sweet thanks for the invite Annika and Dustin. Its sweet to see the HEthen group is at work. So here is the update...We started hitching a ride out of Durango and this cool rich guy gave us a lift. He ended up being a awesome connect because he owns a few ski resorts in CO and a big vineyard as well. He gave us his card and now we have a resort or possibly a vineyard when its in season. However we are not willing to stop and hold up somewhere yet. So he dropped us off in the Navaho reservation in Utah. Hitching a ride from the Navaho was kinda different. For starters the Navaho don't seem to show much emotion and when hitching a ride it turns out its better to just look serious. This turned out to be a real problem for me because I'm always cracking up and joking around while holding out the thumb. It was also different because they would only give us short rides some only a mile. :D It took us allay to get about 20 miles. Night fall finally came and we were still deep in the reservation heading towards AZ. Soooo we decided to have some fun and digest an entheogen and walk all night in the desert! Haha! It was a interesting night to say the least. The next day we made it to Flagstaff and spent halloween weekend there. We did our first CS there and then our host drove us to San Ana CA yesterday. From there we hitched to San Diego where we are currently holding up. Anyway I'm updating this in an apple store and mike is rushing me :D so ill tell ya more about our trip and further plans later. Later HEthens!
