Ride my bike from Denver to Austin for me?
Posted January 6th, 2010 - 9:55 am by from Saint Louis, United States (Permalink)
I have a kawasaki vulcan currently garaged in Denver, CO. Right now living in Austin would anyone be interested in riding or transporting the bike here? Let's see what we can figure out. The timing on this is open ended...

Cheers,
Abe

Hi Abe,

I'd love to, but not real soon - it's cold out there.

My first bike was a 2003 Vulcan 1600fi; great bike.

I now own 3 BMWs and a Piaggio MP3. I've ridden all over Europe, North and South America.

I have a daughter in Parker, CO and relatives in Frisco,TX. A trip between CO and TX when the weather warms up a bit, would be fun.

I assume the bike runs well....

Hi Tom!

It sure is cold out there! It's been feezing down here in Texas as well.

She is a 92' Vulcan 750. In my opinion very comfy. Newer tires and also a new stater. I rode her from St. Louis to Denver last year and she was fine for the trip. Only problem as of recent was if I didn't bother warming her up. She's carborated... Sounds like it could be a fun trip for you. She is currently in a fellow CS'rs garage on a Battery Tender and gets started every few weeks.

Looks Like Frisco is a few hours north of Austin so if you wanted I am sure we could meet there to shave some time off the trip, depending on how you would like to do it.

Feel free to message me or I'll message you soon.

Cheers and thanks for your interest!

Abe
