Vegan Chinese place Vegetka in Prague 6 has a new website available in a few languages:

The place is called Maitrea and as far as veganism is concerned it sucks big time. Yes, they have some vegan options on the general menu however even though they have been asked several times to include more stuff suitable for vegans they never did. I guess they just don't give a damn.

Also, during the lunch time they have a daily menu and sometimes there is NOTHING vegan on it. I mean at all even though there are usually several different kinds of meals on the daily thing.

Yes, it is a very nice place and there is a story to it, however it really kind of sucks and, of course, as all the vegan and vegetarian places in Prague, this one is also somehow connected to people who believe in imaginery friends.

Although all the staff there is rather nice at the first glance already the second thorough look will kind of tell you that there is something they all share together. It is difficult to describe without being a narrow minded disrespectfull idiot, however the word that would fit the best is "weird" I think. I never felt really good there.

Go there if you want to wait for ages for a meal in the evening and pay ridiculous amounts of money for it while worrying a lot whether you will be able to feed yourself the vegan way at all at the same time or if you want to make a good impression on your girlfriend or boyfriend since it really is nice there. Nice but that is all as far as I'm concerned.
