So I went ahead and created a CS event at Horseshoe Tavern in Marina -- it's basically a bar in Marina that doesn't feel like Marina (ie not expensive). SF has a huge russian (and nearby countries) population here in the avenues (Sunset area where there is always fog ). i love the russian bakery on Geary and 22nd avenue!! the City always has something going on during the week and especially weekends. a good place to find out free (or almost free) events is http://sf.funcheap.com. also, this thursday 9 aug is the fire-dancing jam in front of the Ferry Building starting at about 8pm in the plaza Justin Herman. it's very cool - i always go to snap pixs! it lasts for about two hours. take care, stay safe and enjoy your stay in SF!!! |
