Shall we conceive for a moment: the idea that artists could branch off as moral inquisitors and forge a new role in the international community as a check for political and social justice, truth and dignity?

United under a flag of free speech and expression, could their art not join a separate category in respect to the questions or challenges born in their medium?

If it can be conceived that philosophers should be kings, could we not alleviate the role and identity of artists into a higher political or social realm?

These are questions being asked right now on the forum at
www.motive-art.org

I thought that I would let my friends here know.

Motive is a new art movement. It is not a style, but a belief. A belief that artists can play a much bigger role in helping to make the world a better place. Motive artists don’t just make a statement through their work. They make an active commitment to change by donating time or their work to charities engaged in social change projects.
