Restaurants in London
Hi all,
Could anyone recommend a good veggie restaurant?
If you would like to help me explore the local vegetarian cuisine as well then just let me know:)
Best wishes
Dan
Hi Daniel,
I have only been to Mildred's once but the food was really good and it had a cosy atmosphere. It can get busy on the weekends, so a weekday visit would probably be better.

I am keen to try out http://foodforthought-london.co.uk/
Happy eating!

Hi Dan Cafe Kino was really good, we went for lunch last Sunday. There is another one that I have been to called Falafel King, it is near Clifton Down station. I live just 2mins away from it so if you ever come to eat would love to meet up! :)
+1 for Food for thought. It's not fancy, but perfect quick lunch or cosy diner.
If you want something more fancy, try The Gate ( http://thegaterestaurants.com/). I've just been there a month ago, really liked the place.

Hi guys,
Just thinking as we are all veggies (I'm assuming) maybe we could all do lunch together at some point?
Miriam
Hi Miriam,
I actually took your advice and went to Food for Thought.
Very tasty indeed:)
I would be available next week to meet up next week..
Hi Dan,
In Walthamstow, near the Leyton end, is a lovely community cafe called Hornbeam. They truly are lovely, and make nice food for very reasonable price. It's veggie, and vegan apart from dairy milk for coffees and teas. Well worth chekcing out.

Hi all,
Thanks for all the suggestions:)
I will pop again to Food For Thought this Sunday (the 10th) at 1.30pm. Would anyone like to join? I will probably take in some street entertainment in Covent Garden as well...

I would recommend you this book. It lists all the veggie and organic restaurants, bars, shops etc, including farmers' markets if you fancy that type of entertainment...

Govinda's on Soho Square is amazing. If I remember correctly they use eggs and dairy, but sure there are vegan options as well. Not too expensive and really good! Food for Thought in Covent Garden also highly recommended.
xx
