Hello from Melanie, Louisville, KY, USA:)
My name is Melanie and I wanted to say Hello and tell you a little about myself :)
I am an active Couch Surfer.
I am not 55 Plus :) However, I have a M.A. Master's Degree in Applied Gerontology (study of aging) from Ball State University.
One of the Dreams I am creating is traveling the World & visiting Seniors/Elders and getting their tips about Longevity & laughing with them (as I teach Laughter Yoga :).
Another Dream is that I want to travel the World & assist Seniors/Elders who may need assistance with traveling or who want to create adventures and need a companion.
They are just ideas for now so I getting feedback from people. I would love your Feedback :)

Is the first time I heard about Laughter Yoga :). I hope you show it to me when you come.
It's a very good idea to help senior people in travelling but I presume it only should work with people near your city-

Be welcome in Holland and have Do-In , PermaGardening and Meditation experiences and a lot of laughter in the pub of the Cohousing Project where I live. I experienced some Laughter Therapy sessions but am not familiar with Laughter Yoga . I try to practise the "Yes and......" mindset. Comes instead of the "Yes but....." ;-) .

melanie, you are invited to el salvador, my friendly, safe, peaceful, beautiful country...i am 15 years hosting through websites, and first or second Couchsurfing member since 2004.(another guy says he was first, but is ex-pat here, so me first salvadoran in CS), i'm also city ambassador for my city, Santa Tecla, in san salvador metropolitan area.
i will be 60 next nov. 10th, and parkinsonian since 2001.

I can have a couch available for you if you don't mind dogs. We have three. One is a bit skiddish.
I'm a volunteer peer counselor and outreach ambassador for seniors. I would love to talk with you about your plans. I am the moderator for the christian fold of couch surfing. I have been a couch surfer for over 10 years now.

I used to be active in CS, and haven't been for the past year while moving around, but now I'm settled in the interior of Oman in a small town next to the sand desert.....and I'm ready to start hosting again.
