Hey Guys, I'll be Woofing in the South of France in September & October, there might be a few occasions where I'll be staying in a nearby town/city on weekends. I've busked in Ireland before, the usual pub rock/pop songs & Irish folk songs. I'll have a guitar/harmonica. Can anyone give me advice please? - What kind of songs would go down well here, e.g Popular French songs/bands? - What towns are worth checking out in your experience, any towns I should avoid? Any other helpful information is welcome too. Thanks for reading. What area are you staying in? I'm busking/gigging in France at the moment-could definitely give you a few tips. Your material sounds perfect to me- the French like their Dylan, Bob Marley, Doors, rolling stones etc. and the Irish stuff always goes down a treat. My number is +44 (0)7943 834625 if u wanna call or add me on Facebook at www.facebook.com/chesteracoustic I get online at some point most days. Might even catch up with you somewhere on the way, my gigs are at www.reverbnation.com/chesteracoustic and I'll be busking my way in between.. good luck, Chester Hey Chester Great post :) I've just started busking in Italy and next I go to Spain for a couple of months. I'm planning on Portugal after and then France before going into Scandinavia. From what I can gather it seems that the rules in Spain can be quite strict but hopefully I will be ok. It would be great to hook up and Jam or busk at some point :) Best wishes Lee :) |
