Hey everyone! I'm planning an adventure for the beginning of January and will be using street performance as my only source of income for the duration of the trip. Starting out with a car (to get around and for emergency sleeping quarters), a guitar, a cello, and about $50 in the bank.

Are there any towns or cities in the USA that you would consider a good bet for busking? Especially in the wintertime. Also, because of the cold weather in January, would it be best to stick to a southern route (for warmth so my fingertips don't freeze off) as opposed to heading up north?

Leaving from Tennessee, planning on heading west. I've got about 2 weeks before school starts up again, and this would be my first time travelling any significant distance alone.
