Irish guy travelling to Kosovo!
Posted June 24th, 2012 - 2:37 pm by from Limerick, Ireland (Republic of) (Permalink)
Hey there everybody and anybody! I am going to be spending 2-3 nights in Kosovo (2nd August - 5th August). I will be travelling alone and am wondering if anybody would be interested in hanging out, grab a few drinks or see some live music or something, or just to walk around the city? And also does anybody know of bus or train timetables and how much it costs to get from Kosovo to Belgrade please? Any help here from some fellow Couchsurfers will greatly be appreciated! Looking forward to seeing the Balkans!!!!

Hi!

I can help you with info about the bus. ( there are no trains connecting Beograd with Kosovo). You have three buses from Prishtina to Beograd, leaving from the main bus station at 21.30, 22.00 and 23.00.

But be careful, you can not cross the ( administrative ) border from Kosovo to Serbia if you have not entered Kosovo from Serbia before. So you must have an entry stamp from Serbia in order to be able to travel from Prishtina to Beograd. If not, you'll have to go from Kosovo to Macedonia (Skopje) and from there to Beograd.

So you have two options:
1. do a retour Beograd - Prishtina - Beograd.

Find also the bus schedule from Beograd to Pr here:
http://www.bas.rs/basweb_eng/RedVoznje.aspx?lng=en

2. to take the route Prishtina - Skopje - Beograd

Price list:

Beograd - Prishtina or Prishtina - Beograd : aprox. 16 Eur one way; return ticket around 25

Prishtina - Skopje : aprox 6 Eur one way

Skopje - Beograd : aprox 22 Eur one way

A million thank yous! This is very helpful, I didn't know about the travel restrictions from Kosovo to Serbia. I am planning on arriving in Prishtina from Albania so I think I will take a quick tour into Macedonia and then onto Belgrade. Thanks again!
