About Me

CURRENT MISSION

developing myself and getting rid of bad habits, learning portuguese, living from the land...

ABOUT ME

I am a busy girl, trying to get as much out of life as possible. I currently work 100%, study 200% and do some other stuff inbetween. I wonder if that makes me live until I'm 400yrs theoretically speaking? I enjoy spending most of my time outdoors, and I also hang out with my friends, sing, play the guitar, read heaps of books etc, depending on which mood Im in...

I have a bunch of interests, and never enough time for any of them. I have started to remodel my thoughts of the ideal life, and have a lot of ideas about most things, from which I am not shy of sharing with people who are interested.

I am a vegan and have been so since 2001, and was a vegetarian for 3 years before that. Occationally I eat milk products and eggs, especially when I travel as it can sometimes be hard to get the food I need, but I do my best. I also try to buy locally grewn stuff rather than buying imported veggies and fruit, although I am a sucker for tropical fruit ;).

I have a vision about constructing a house that provides its own energy and food, and actually think it could be made if I really got my mind set on it. In the house where I live at the moment I grow food that I can live on all through summer without buying anything at all, so it should really be a possibility if I dedicated myself to it. It's too bad Sweden is such a cold country, so I might have to move abroad.

I have been riding and working with horses since I was ten years old, so horses will probably always, in one way or another, be a big part of my life. Would like to experience Mongolia from the horse back. I read a book about Djingis Khan once, and that raised my interest for the country. Seeing documentaries from there have just increased my interest even more, and the horses they have over there should be really gentle =).

PHILOSOPHY

Most of the time I love life, although I have my up's and down's as everyone else. I spend most of my time outdoors, and I am really fascinated by the forces of nature. I Have a very strong belief in mother nature and her creations, and hate the way that we rape her every day, but I try to do my best. Searching for true love in places, people and lovers. Sometimes I manage, sometimes I fail, but life is built up from trial and error, that's what develops us. I was very afraid of trying new things a few years ago, but getting into Capoeira really changed my way of looking at life and raised my self confidence a lot. Animals, good and truthful friends, honesty, nature, great food etc. is what makes life worth living to me.

Music, Movies, and Books

High Fidelity, Pulp Fiction, Edward Scissorhands, Donnie Darko, Trainspotting, some Danish movies etc. Intelligent shit that makes me think and not just watch the screen without really demanding anything from me... (not that high fidelity really is an intelligent movie, but the music and John Cusack just makes it great anyway =)). I love watching movies, but have too little time in my life to spend it in front of a TV, and most of the time I'm too tired to watch a movie without falling asleep =).

Indie-and britpop/rock, SKA and reggae, some hiphop, triphop and old stuff. I get lots of influenses from all the people I meet at the moment, as I'm getting bored with my old music. I will always love the Beatles, Cat Stevens, Elvis and some other great old musicians. I tend to like most music that is made with love by smart people who understand how to build a song to influence me in one way or another. Music to me is all about creating feelings. Also listen to a lot of capoeira music to get better at singing the solo's...

When I was younger I was always seen with a book in my hand, and when I have spare time I like to indulge myself in some great writings. Earlier I read a whole lot of fantasy, like David Eddings, Robert Jordan, C.S Lewis, and of course J.R.R Tolkiens works, but nowadays it's more political and historical stuff and of course also some regular books. I enjoy Erlend Loe and Nick Hornby's writing a lot, as well as George Orwell, Dostojevkij, Tom Robbins, Douglas Coupland and Graham Greene.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every day is amazing, and I don't think that I can pick one single moment that is more important to me than another. The things that make the greatest impression on me are forces of nature and when you feel that you have reached out to a person and touched their soul, left a footprint in their heart for their whole life. That's just an amazing and indescribable feeling. Whenever I save an animal's life at work and help deliver animal babies is also ALWAYS amazing, as is how sad it is those times you fail...

Diving with manta's and bull sharks in Costa Rica, getting robbed in the same place just to be struck by a fantastic amount of great karma directly after...

Almost drowning in the ocean outside Nova Scotia and being hit by a car so that I flew through the air with my bike definitely made me value life much more than before.

All my solo travels have also been supreme.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you almost everything about horses and riding, and quite a lot about other animals too. I'm quite good at building things (learnt from breaking a lot of things as a kid ;), and probably a good source of inspiration if you catch me on a good day. Singing, basic guitar playing, basic capoeira moves etc...
