Who are the members of the Leadership Team and what does the Leadership Team do?
Leadership Team members make strategic decisions for CouchSurfing and lead
defined departments of volunteers who are entrusted to make tactical
decisions for CouchSurfing. The members participate in dialogue and
debate, guided by the mission, about vital issues and decisions facing the
organization. Team members come from a range of perspectives, but each
member has deep knowledge about some aspect of the organization and/or the
environment in which it operates. The Leadership Team is comprised of
trusted, dedicated volunteers who have demonstrated the qualities of
leadership spelled out in the
Qualities
of Leadership Peer Review. Our purpose first and foremost is to serve
the mission of CouchSurfing. We are committed to excellent service to the
community, effective and regular communication, a transparent
decision-making process, quality operations management, and accountability

Local Time: 6:07pm Username: HOFFER Primary Focus: As Co-Founder and Chairman of Couchsurfing, I am sort of a "COO" type doing pretty high-level, overarching stuff .. like developing the organizational structure and certain operational processes ... imbuing the company with a culture of "Focus, Structure, and Discipline" ;) ... and besides that ... company strategy, finance, strategic marketing, "vision," and media interviews :-) I also oversee our "Couchsurfing Cares" initiative, which will provide housing for displaced refugees of natural disasters. |
