Login Test

The CouchSurfing website uses cookies to keep track of your login information as you navigate around the site, allowing you to access member-only areas.

Cookies are small packages of information stored in your computer memory, and if you choose, on your hard disk so that the information will be available for your next login session.

When you opened this page, an instruction to save a cookie to your PC memory was sent to your browser directly from the CS server. If the instruction was received by your browser and the cookie was successfully saved, and your browser has JavaScript enabled, you should see a pop-up message with the words:

If you do not see this message, then one of these possibilities must be true:

1. Your internet service provider did not allow the cookie to reach your browser.
2. The cookie was not saved to your computer by your browser.
3. The cookie was not retrieved from your computer by the JavaScript test program running under your browser.
4. Your browser does not have JavaScript enabled.

If this test failed, it is possible that your browser does not have JavaScript enabled. To eliminate this possibility, when you click on the following link the cookie just created will be read (without using JavaScript) from your computer's memory and sent back to the server. Therefore, this second test will also confirm that the cookie saved on this page can be sent back to the server.
