The goal of the Events and Outreach Team is to provide CouchSurfing members with the tools, resources, and support they need to create extraordinary and meaningful community experiences that promote intercultural awareness.
Our Key Focus Areas
1) Connecting Event Organizers with individuals within the CouchSurfing community that have the required skill sets, resources, and desire to help the organizer throw a successful event.
2) Assisting with and/or promoting events that clearly further the CouchSurfing Mission.
3) Maintaining a “living” repository of knowledge and best practices for producing successful events.
4) Working with the Expert Teams to implement new features on the CouchSurfing web site that help event organizers create, promote, and manage their events.
5) Expanding the CouchSurfing Community through Events and Outreach.

--Connect Event Organizers w/ appropriate resources and individuals
3) Process Designers and System Analysts
--Translate Event Organizer’s user requirements into system design for the Tech Team to implement
4) Subject Matter Experts
--Sound, Venues, Lighting, Production, Promotion, Entertainment, etc.
5) Experience Documentation
--Lessons Learned
--Photo’s, Stories, Press, Video, and other artifacts
