In the fruit tree model, the traditional organizational structure is turned upside down! In many companies, there's a traditional "command and control" structure, like a pyramid, where the top brass tell all the guys underneath what to do. But think about it, a pyramid is a tomb!
In a fruit tree model, the product (surfing and hosting - some tasty fruit!) and the product creators, the participants (branches and leaves) are at the top of this organizational chart. The CSC (trunk) is the central support structure, all fed by the site functions and features, (the seeds that grew and created roots) first invented and maintained by the Founders and Admins.
