Personal Description

I was living in Aix en provence ( France ) with my girlfriend, and we moved ( about one year ago) to Wellington ( New Zealand ), I worked for a while and I went back into studies, so now I am studying sociology, it was actually a better choice than I first thought, learning about (my own for now) contemporary and past society (and yourself include and appart) is a way to accurate my feelings and is leading me to a better understanding of contexts. Because knowing the space of freedom you got leads you to a better use of it and you finally extend it.

How I Participate in CS

I knew couchsurfing from friends, and I both hosted and travelled through this program.

CouchSurfing Experience

Well, that's a brillant extension of the hitch-hiking concept, the idea is about two people having something to offer to each other.

Interests

I like doing what I try to call "art".
I am passionate about old photographic process ( darkrooms, negative combining, handtinting..)so you got chances to see me with my vintage cameras ( I carry my sweeties everywhere )
Music ( I play guitar, bass guitar and I like to compose songs -that I never finish- I know it's a shame..)
Sport ( Hockey and actually I'm like a cat who just need a game in which there is a ball to run after )
Travelling, but it is a very long subject to talk about, 'travelling to' and 'living in' are widely different ways of seeing things, and of feeling things, it touch to heaps aspects in our selfdefinition, so I am mainly wondering, in our 'authentification process' era, which goals do we look for and achieve (here and there), of course there is no unique answer, that's why i am still wondering about that.
And you might have guessed, but I like to discuss, discuss and discuss, but well, it makes me apreciate the silence aswell.

Philosophy

So this opinion is personal :
Knowing and using the interval of freedom I have, it leads to an optimistic state of mind rather than an escape attitude. Learning a context and learning how chains are made helps me more to liberate myself than having a utopia in which I imagine that these chains wouldn't exist.

Music, Movies, Books

music : The Doors, trio Joubran, Ezekiel, Air, Agnes Obel, Myself, Nick Drake ...ect..

Books : Mainly my sociology stuff, and News papers like "courrier international"

Movies : Well, my

What do these numbers mean?

This summary is not a replacement for reading references; it's a quick summary to help you get started. At a glance, you can see how many references a member has, and how many of them are positive, neutral, and negative.

In the second line, you'll see how many references came from people who hosted this member, surfed with them, and traveled with them. These numbers won't always add up to the total: some references are not categorized, and some may be categorized as more than one thing.

When viewing this summary, don't jump to conclusions! Things that are negative for one person may be positive for another, and vice versa. It's important to read references carefully and evaluate what that information means to you.

Mathieu and Alina are a lovely couple - well-travelled, spontaneous, generous and a pleasure to be with! We would love to be your flatmates - and then do some nice cooking together. And it would be cool to do some tramping! Looking forward a lot to our time here in Wellington with Alina and Mathieu!

Mathieu and I have been living together in Wellington for a few months now. He is a formidable chess player, and a brutal wrestler. If you are a musician, a photographer, or a social critic, this is the guy to hang out with.

Yeah it was pleasure to have you (both) at home. I liked very much the late evenings on the balcony drinking your "T-punch" rum while learning about each other and sharing one's world vision.
And the ride and walk in town.
Meeting Mathieu is as natural as water flowing from spring... And he is never in lack of questions about human (himself, you, human being...)

Hope to come and see you in N.Z

Mathieu plays some wicked guitar! Honestly. (: He is friendly, kind, funny and considerate. He made the effort to find out more about my interests and was really generous! I wish we had more time to hear him play more music. I am always very happy to meet a fellow musician out there on the side of the world. Keep on creating music! (:

Mathieu is cool and very interesting, I enjoy discussing with him for hours and hours, about different subject like photos, projetcs, travelling through the world in which we live. He has good ideas and good tips to give to the others. I shared with him a nice day skiing near Grenoble in very good snow, hopefully we'll share other trips soon... see you man!

Mathieu is a marvelous and interesting host! Thanks for letting me crash on your couch for two nights and letting me draw on your fridge! I'm still impressed with your hat collection, boxed rum, and song writing skills (... school girl? ahahah) Come to San Diego- it's not Mexico, but close enough right?
