ANDRZEJ GRZESIK

Andrzej happens to be not only one of my closest friends in university but my roomate as well. All in all, he is a true legend!! I have travelled with him to a number to places around China and Malaysia, and he's the ideal travel-mate anyone could wish for!!

Really really looking forward to our South Korea trip in April!

ANDRZEJ is AWESOME!! he would cheer u up wherever you are, whenever and you will laugh with him, at him, and to him!! traveling with him is so much fun, a lifetime experience that you can never get elsewhere, from jogjakarta to borneo's jungle, from having a broken boat, sleeping in car for 9 hours and unfeel the earthquake in jogjakarta, i had the greatest time with him!!

Andrzej is a true adventurer and friend. My stomach hurts from laughing when I hang out with him. He taught me cool polish phrases and his mother and father's names. Can't wait to visit

It was a great pleasure to meet and surf with Andrzej in Warsaw! I felt like we had this instant connection from the moment we saw each other and I enjoyed the time we spent together a lot :o) Looking forward to more stories in Singapore soon! Oh and needless to say he was a great host too!

Andrzej hosted me in Warsaw for one night. Although we didn't spend much time together he made a good impression on me. He was helpful host with sense of humor :). Thanks a lot.

He host me and two of my friends for 3 day. He work all day like crazy, but he take some time to talk with us and take some beer. He have an infinite amount of energy, it's really impressive.

Andzej received us. We spent two formidable days with a big independence. Thanks to his generosity, we were able to visit the city in the best condition. He has even to agree to open us his door in the middle of the night in spite of our delay on the road.
That of the positive.

Andrzej is so adorable. He took us to a barbeque (with a small detour through a real Polish village with authentic Polish village women and crazy dogs.) He also cooked us black sausage and made jokes and was a generally lovely person to meet and go to the discoteque with!

We spent a lot of funny time with another CS people on the BBQ with bloody sausages :P and in the disco:) Im so pleasure pleasure to meet him and I hope to meet him again!

Really nice guy and I would like meet with him next time :) He speak English, so, he is my hero! ;)

How I could think to kill a GLOBAL AMBASSADOR???? ;)

Feel lucky i had the occasion to meet and host Andrzej,i could say only nice things about him, his gentle and warm attitude to people. It was a good time, thank you and next time stay for the lunch and will have Italian home made spaghetti!

 

I met Andrzej through my guests and we had a good time together, easily found so many topics to discuss that it was difficult to finish ;-)

Andrzej stopped by at my place, we had a little dinner with other travellers. It was great to meet you and had time together, I'm looking forward to doing it again!

Andre went out his way to pick me up and i stayed two days at his flat. He took me to his work in downtown and gave me directions to places i need to go in Warsaw.
I had a great time...this was my first CS experience.....and it won't be my last.

Coming from the same city it took us ages to turn our e-mailing into a real meeting. But we've finally made it! I don't even dare to predict how long it will take to repeat this achievment ;)

He is friendly guy with big sense of humour and amazing dancing skills.

Andy is ticklish, he adores eating locusts and is a great bollywood dancer ;-) I enjoyed talking with him a lot and hope to meet him again and again ;-)

 

He is Mr. Couch Surfing in Poland. A former loyal Country Ambassador and now the only Polish Global Ambassador. Always wanted to meet up with him and it took a common friend [Anita] to bring us together. Now that we have met, I hope we will keep meet again. Cheers.

Almost two years ago me Andrew were CS Ambs and having quite good communication over the groups etc. For more than 8 months now we are working almost day on the Ambs management team and just yesterday I had the chance to eventually meet him in person! So good to meet good friends:))))

It was short, but nice. :) Andrzej made me feel at home, not being around too much since he's a busy young man too, and it was nice to meet even if it was brief, and he was very helpful ! Great guy !

Although we I only got the chance to talk to the king of couchsurfing for a few hours it was a truly great expierence. Laid back and interesting... Although I didnt get to stay with him; I was definetly glad to meet him....

 

After introducing us to some typical polish meals, Andrzej kindfully and patiently teached us the basics of the polish language. We had really great nights with him and we trully hope to see him again, in europe or anywhere else! Thank you again !!!

Vodka Zubrowka#1. Andrzej in only 2 days started to speak Napoletano, with the help of Cristiano, and he promised me when we will meet in Warsaw in May we will have a deep conversation in my dialect!
Anyway he and his mates have been one of the best guests I had since now. They are amazing guys. Believe me! But He has a debit with me: "Vodka Zubrowka!"

Andrzej is the king of polish party pop beats. He's an excellent host with everlasting energy. I now just have to figure out how to boil his energy down and sell cans of him to the masses .. "Polish Power Drink!"

Your visit was way too short... You must return again!!! Do you know when you meet someone that you have never met before, but you feel like you have knowing this person for years?... well, this has happened to me when I first saw Andy! He is such an amazing person that you immediately feel he is one of your old buddies. He is easy-going, funny, interesting, talkative, funny, good-hearted, warm, open... did I mention funny? :) Hope to see him again, maybe in Warsaw!
Update: YAY! Woohoo! Hooorray! We made it... we met up in Warsaw! It was sooooooooo nice to see him again! He went out of his way to make sure me and carlos had a fantastic time... but he did not succeed on that because we had a MORE THAN FANTASTIC experience! :) We showed us the most important city in Poland... no, it's not Warsaw... not even Krakow... it's Skierniewice! :)) It was so nice to meet his parents and to play with his 'killer' dog! the polish scorpion king. i basically spent my summer couchsurfing and i can genuinely say that he is the most considerate and hospitable couchsurfer i came across. this guy personifies the concept of a CS family....seriously. it's ppl like him that make couchsurfing work!

meeting the parents. andrew is awesome! he's been the first person I couch surfed with, and he made this experience so nice that all i want now is to keep couch surfing! And in addition to ;eeting his friends and other couchsurfers he knew, i even got to meet his parents!

Nice host. I staied at Andrzej's place for 2 days. It was nice to explore his flat and housemates! He arranged me also another accommodation and parting with other CS members/his friends in Warszaw. It was so funny to trave travel/run together with Andrej in Warszaw - hes everywhere late like me:-).

 

I met Andrzej at his lively New Year's party. (He is a Polish Fred Astaire at the Macarena!) My shoulders met Andrzej's butt later that evening. This led me to a one night stand with his seductive silky black cat Coco. Andrezj is a wild character and lots of fun! I am so hoping that we will cross paths again!

He saved me from my hair burning up during the Parties in Garica in Barcelona!

True CS spirit and true friend. Hmm.. guess Andrzej and me go way back, since I joined CS. I mailed him about Kieslowski and since then we mailed back and forth. Finally, in August, I had the pleasure to meet him in person and to host him in Lisbon. Though the expectations were high (I KNEW he was a great guy), I got a better picture of how amazing Andrzej is and why everybody loves him. He has a great humour, always has a smile for you and such a great vibe, he is talkative, friendly, outgoing.. and we even have the same taste in books! Was my pleasure to have you here :) Will definately pay you a visit one of these days, in Polland.

I wasn't even out of the airport or I already received a 'welcome in Poland'-message. Amazing! Andrzej would drop everything to do whatever he can to make his guests feel comfortable. He also told us the nice places to visit in Warsaw and showed us the typical way of 'how to get your shoes cleaned' in the old city centre ;). He's always welcome at my place!

andrew is my top warsaw host. extremely kind, always going out of his way to make his guests happy and make them feel at home. a good heart and a funny personality. you shouldnt miss when in warsaw. and help him when he's in need during his travels.

Andrzej received Elli and me for 2 days. It was my first couchsurf experience,and it was a great way to begin. He knows a lot about Warsaw (history, tales of dragons and ghosts)and knows the must see places of the city. I'm thankfull for the given trust and the effort he made when we where there.

 

Great company in a Chiswick pub. Andy came over to meet me and my Icelandic guests in West London while he was across for his sister's wedding. We had a great evening in one of the riverside pubs in Chiswick. He's a great guy - good company, interesting and interested in other people's stories. We laughed a lot, enjoyed some London Pride and talked travelling. Hope to see you again, Andy! Well, in July 2006 Andy hosted me as Warsaw sweltered in record temperatures. Andy is a great host - considerate, great company, funny & kind. He goes out of his way to make sure his guests are OK and he didn't even mind making sure I got up at 4.45am so I made my flight back to London. Truly a star among couchsurfers. Thanks so much!

A true CS great. Great guy, who not only waited at home (i'm so sorry it took so long-it wasn't my fault) for over a full day waiting for the courier to deliver my credit cards, but then didnt even go straight online and start shopping with them when they arrived! Met him a couple of times in Warszawa and surfed his couch - well, bunk beds - for a couple nights. A great tour guide, top, top man and good friend, and hope to catch up again very soon.

The real NUTCASE. "I love you Andrew, Andrew from.." Erm.. ok, doesn´t really go with my song. Finally met up with Andy in Warsaw and wat a terrific couchsurfing experience! The 3 main thing he have to offer are fun, FuN and MORE FUN! Oh.. nearly forgotten his very cosy couch. So, if you think you are crazy enough, I dare you to visit the real Master in Warsaw! Mr. Ambassador of Warsaw. I've had the pleasure of meeting Andrzej twice already. First time, he and a whole gang of CDers picked me up from the train station at 2am, and just recently he was my host for 4 days in Warsaw. An incredible friend and host, always smiling and friendly, cooked for us and made sure we were always comfortable. If I settle down in Warsaw it'll be great to have a friend like Andrzej around. Andy really looked after me while in Warsaw.. He treated me like a royal guest.. In his suit he took my *very* heavy backpack and showed me around the city :)))

Elsa CSd as well with me and we had an AWESOME time together... war museum, running in the rain under Andy´s jacket.. lots of Kamikazi´s...

So I'll just say that a chain of events conspired to have him staying with us (OK, I'll let you in a secret: we made 3 potential hosts disappear, so me and Ana - and Zelia in Aveiro - could host him; we even made him believe he was the one responsible for that; btw, Zelia, I just dumped the dead bodies in the river).
OK, there's this one thing you should know about him: he has no problem being treated as luggage! :)

Warsaw haven!! Andy really makes an effort...came to pick us up from the airport and took a good care of us...even made sure we got on the bus out of Warsaw on time (oh...wait a minute !)...Second time he hosted me was with a few others CSers. and there were many after that. i have never seen him angry or sad but i promise to work on that next time and tell u what it's like. he's a great host and totally trustable!!
From the point of view of a host, he's a wonderful guest. Only visited me once but we had an awesome time and i was sad to see him go. My mom wants him back :)
On top of that he is a truly good friend, always there when you need him. Thank you for the HUGS and coffees, you ROCK!

 

PARTY TIMES. Andrzej and I first encountered each other when I was stranded in Prague... He REALLY helped me out thanks to sms and a huge friend list!
He invited me to his New Years Eve party at his family's home in Skierniewice, and we finally got to meet! It was an awesome party and great way to start the New Year. Andrzej and his family are so welcoming and hospitable, they really made me feel like one of the family.

Andrew advised me about where to visit on my first trip to Poland. He also arranged a gathering for dinner and drinks of a number of traveling Csers in Warsaw in July. He's a warm, personable guy.

cool meeting! Oh, yes! This is great young man frpm Warsaw, I meet with him on this site and we write each other a lot of e-mails, but our real meeting was in Poland on the greates polish party, which have been in the night on 2-3 June, 2005. It was so wonderful time, where Andjey was a real star! And for me Andjey is really a good friend, because I meet with him, have a lot to make and laught, and, thank you, man for say me goodbye on the railwaystation! I wanna meet with you in another time, really!!!

Tiger balm and vodka! He's a guy with such a great sense of humour, completely clicked with mine!! Really enjoyed just hanging out with him and being silly. I felt like a couple of oldies exchanging medicines and I know my tiger balm didn't really work for his leg but thanks for the great vodka Andy...It cured my throat ache!! I'm definitely coming to visit you next summer!!

My first Couch Surfer. Andrzej was the first Couch Surfer I hosted and it was a great experience that I will surely repeat, maybe in Warsaw. He is very open to what is your lifestyle and adapts to it perfectly, always with a smile, a joke or a nice gesture. It is impossible to not feel happy when he is around not only but also because he brings Vodka with him! Feel free to come back man!

So so charming. We met Andrzej in London while we were all couchsurfing. He is lovely and charming and nice to talk to. I'm happy I met him.

STICAZZI!!! Hahaha! "Sticazzi" was the leit motif of our meeting! I hosted them (ANDRZEJ, ANNA and PRZEMEK) in my house just for 3 days and I tried to teach them some tipical italian bad words... I had good results!!! As a very good professor, I gave them prizes for their good work: pizza, pasta, vino (wine), and 3 beds. :-)
I hope to meet them again... maybe in Poland! Have a nice trip my friends!
