Ben Hanna

Hilarious, to the point of severe muscular pain, a genuinely wicked person who i would literally trust with my life. One of the characters that I met in Thailand that i wont forget.

 

Ben without a tablet... isn't Ben. Even if it was sometimes hard to understand him as he's got a strong American accent, I had fun with him and we laugh a lot together ;-)

WOW! Ben is just incredible! Is the kind of person you meet and instantly connect with. Smart conversations all the time. We went picking up his friend Mariah to the airport, went to this amazing Hostel and Gambled and drunk. Had just an amazing time! He is a very good friend of mine! If we meet someday later I will be extremely glad to host you and your friends. Have fun in Panama and keep being that incredibly cool person you are. Kind regards / David

 

We met Ben somewhat at random while looking for a climbing partner. As soon as we picked him up it became clear that we had many interests and in common and a similar outlook on life. Ben is a fantastically fun guy. He has figured out how to live the ideal life and embrace whatever is thrown his way. We're looking forward to catching up in the future with some climbing and crazy themed parties!

Ben's got an exceptionally useful gift for getting on the wrong subway, striking up a conversation and then spotting the right one across the tracks just in time to squeeze out the closing doors. It almost seems premeditated. This guy is going places, even if he doesn't know quite where, and anyone would be lucky to be part of the ride for any length of time.

 

Ben looks better in my pirate coat than I do, but I don't hold it against him. AAARRRGH!
He's outgoing and fun--up for any adventure. San Francisco and I both love that in any new addition.

 

Ben is the man! Say it with me. The kid's a genious,experienced, athletic, hilarious, and a funny jerk all at once. I crashed at his place in Berkeley for weeks and could seriously never get enough of him. He takes the words bromance, hilarity, & adventure to the highest level possible. He had me leave SF with a ton of fun/funny memories and a refreshed outlook on life. I hope to one day be able to room with him again in a future living situation.

Ben is one of those guys that people just get along with. He is super easy company, loves to have fun, and up for anything. He is also intelligent so you can actually have a decent conversation with him and he will no doubt teach you a thing or two in the process. He is an absolute asset to CouchSurfing - we are lucky to have such a talented individual willing to dedicate their time to improving the site. Thanks for everything Ben!

Ben is an amazing guy! Quite an asset to CS and I'm glad he is helping and doing what he's doing, I commend him for it. I had the pleasure of meeting him at CS HQ over a few days and thoroughly recommend it if you get the chance! Hopefully I'll see him again. Bike Bike! <3

Ben was an awesome person to chill and party with. He knows how to make things very fun and has very warm energy. He was able to give me some good tips for my upcoming bike trip, and he has one of the sexiest bikes I've seen. I'm glad we got to meet, and I hope to cross his path at future CS events.

 

I had a blast getting to know Ben. After one night out in San Fran, he agreed to join me in a random trip to Baja. We shared lots of laughs, fresh fish, attempts at surfing, and interesting conversations. Laid back and fun, this guy never failed to surprise me. I'm very happy to have met him and hope to run into him next time he comes through Atlanta.

 

We've gone rock climbing twice now to Castle Rock state park. Each time we've had a crazy adventure and laugh at ourselves for our goof ups! He's got a great carefree attitude, good sense of humour and just fun to be around. He's great at making hobo camp fires out of beer can and kerosene! A solid rock climber and trust worthy guy. I can't wait for our next adventure to see what else could go wrong. Haha! I hope to visit him at base camp soon. Good to have you around SF Ben :)

 

I got along with Ben very well in the Alaska collective. We went on a hitchhiking/camping adventure in one of the first weekends together and it was great! It was great to see Ben adapt lightning fast to all the different characters you meet on an average hitchhiking trip, I was very impressed :)
Also, I'm very glad he showed me what Juice-bottles are really made for :)

It's hard not to get along with Ben. He's a very patient guy, open to new ideas, understanding, curious about other cultures, adventurous, and an all around good guy to have on your side. In a house of 20 people I felt like I could be myself around him. See you again man. Here's to the left field bread.

 

The collective wouldn't have been half as fun without Ben. He's great at his job, which has made the tech team's life much easier. Very glad to have met him this summer, looking forward to San Francisco!

 

Maybe I should wait after Burning man to write this review huh ;)

Ben is one of my favorite people. Strong, quiet, stable, cute, fun, active, positive, and I can go on and on. But the biggest thing that makes him one of my favorites is hidden under his shirt --> his BIG heart :-)

Ben is great! I wish I didn't have the terrible habit of being out of town the majority of his visits to my place, but the time that i did spend with Ben was enough to know he is a really intelligent, open minded, and genuine person.

Ben saved me from a house full of girls, and a flooded rickshaw. Likes to have a good time and help the world at the same time!

 

I highly approve of Ben. He's an ace at A.P. style, but I like him in spite of that. (Ha!) He's professional, self-motivated and sweet as honey. I'm blown away by the volunteer work he does for CouchSurfing, and I look forward to working with him on communications-related projects.

Meet him, host him, or crash on his couch. You'll be glad you did!

 

I find Ben to be extremely funny and adventurous. His travel stories sound awesome.... At the same time, there's a serious side to Ben when it comes to volunteering for CS on the Comms team. he's highly articulate and he's also a master on the grill.... oh, and he's been pretty laid back in the month we lived in the same house in Homer, an excellent quality to have when you live with 20 other people.

I hope Ben visits me in Philly! He really knew how to make us feel at home in Atlanta. He is really easy to talk to and has great travel stories to share. He isn't lying about his delicious grilled salmon. I admire him for living his dreams and not succumbing to the 9-5 life. He also has an really awesome dad! If you can catch him I'm sure you won't regret it! =)

Have met in KTM in our friend Arjun office, funny guy, hope u havent "slept" under the table anywhere else again.like once in KTM...have bunch of funny stories.

Had a great time hanging out with Ben in BKK, unofficially "surfed" with him on Khao San Road. Probably spent too much time on KSR, but it was a relaxing few days spent reading and geeking out on computers. Nonetheless, Ben is a great guy who's got an amazing adventure ahead of him.

 

Ben turned down a deal with the devil and is now freely exploring Southeast Asia. Oh goodness, I hope our paths cross again.

Ben was awesome. We did nothing other than get hammered together one night in Atlanta, and he surfed on my couch. I was able to meet him before he headed to Asia, and I am sure that he is living it up out there.

Travel-spirit. ;) Knows how to get inside local life and be willing to try virtually everything. Polite and is good Korean friend; he stopped me and my friends when we're leaving unempty soju cups on the table after had cool-hot-spicy mugyodong nakji. ;) Don't forget Ben, again mugyodong!!

 

Ben is a very cool guy. Full of positive energy and quite easy going. Was great to meet him.

Ben arrived on the first leg of his adventures in Asia. He's bright, interested, and was a fantastic guest. It was great to get him acclimated to Seoul and have him share his travelling (and Burning Man!!! wow...) stories with us. We had the chance to feed him spicy food and take him out on the town for a drunken evening. We hope he'll return to Seoul to teach so we can hang out some more...ya'll. ;)

 

Ben walked in to The Flying Biscuit with his boyishly mischevious grin and I knew right then we were going to have a great time goofing off in Atlanta. Ben let me show off my broadcast skills at the CNN headqaurters like a true sport. But, he got his chance to show off next when we went rock climbing. Ben matched my every run up the wall with two of his own! (And I gave him some challenging routes.)We wrapped up the day with some laughs at improv comedy in the park. But, I'll tell you what, Ben's own antics had me laughing throughout the day. Hanna's companionship is definnitely to be sought if you can track him down. His adventuristic spirit shines and I wish him tons of amazing experiences during his upcoming trek through Asia!!

 

This boy is always in a good mood, fun, and though he's never hosted me personally I haven't a doubt in my mind he'll treat you sugar sweet!

 

Ben was one of the lights of CSC with his masks and enthusiasm. good bloke and fun to have around.

I met Ben at Burning Man '07! He's got great energy and enthuisiasm on a level I don't see that often so I enjoyed being around him. It would be a pleasure to meet up again and adventure - Burningman, Skydiving, Hang Gliding, Rock Climbing, Biking - let me know!

 

Ben and some other burners hung out together on the Playa. We had a good time! Ben also had the generousity to spend loads of hours creating leather masks at the burn! Thanks Ben, my mask is fantastic and I'll wear it to go out! See you next year! :)

 

Ben is a cool guy with many talents. We had some very funny and memorable (if that is possible at BM) times together at Burning Man, infact I can't help laughing thinking about them whilst writing this. I also got to meet Ben's dad and had many a long chat with him and he is very cool as well.
I hope we can cross paths again some day.

I enjoyed Ben's company in our camp, couchsurfing camp, at burning man 2007.

We had an awesome afternoon cruising the Black Rock Desert Playa, looking for Pizza& Porn... never got there but had a blast dancing, drinking and getting wet at the Deep End, he got spanked- I got to see his budd, tried to dance a completely drunk Tango and finally seperated at the Death Guild.

Ben is so much of a people person. He has got got a firm grip on his own life and is sure to enhance yours! I've vouched for Ben and I'd like to be there if he ever called upon me. If he's nearby or passing through, I'd recommend you meet him.

 

Ahhhhh, Ben is awesome! I missed my chance to witness his prowess in the Thunderdome.... twice!!! Next time I promise to have a little more patience and be around to help nurse your bruised body and bloody nose. ;) At least we got front row to the oil rig explosion.. even though we couldn't stand the heat enough to actually SEE it. He introduced BM to awesome skills, and if I ever steal his idea on a broader scale, it will be called "Masked Banana" in his name. Ben will always be welcome to my couch in Seattle... where I promise we'll find something else to climb precariously!
