Shared Room: YesI can offer you a couch in my flat which is just one room you have to share with me. I´m subtenant in my mother´s house, some years a ago I had my own flat built next to the house. It is 60 m2 with a conservatory with a view to our pond.
I don´t smoke and don´t have pets. Around our house is our own little vineyard which my uncle cultivates. It´s on a hill, about 5 minutes away from the center by car or 30 minutes walk.
There is also a little wood close to my home if you like jogging.
Krems is a lovely town full of history and culture with about 28.000 inhabitants.
As I commute from Krems to Vienna I have to get up very early and therefore I can only host on weekends!

One Amazing Thing I've Seen or Done2008: Springtime in Turku (Finland). I was there for the JCI-congress. We celebrated a great galanight and I was on the way back to my couch in my long eveningdress. It was really strange I have never seen 2 pairs of high heels in a bush. The ladies were crying helplessly, lying in the bush and weren´t able to get up alone. First I was really shocked but then I offered them my help and pull them out. They were very drunk and surprised about my outfit. They asked me: "Where are you from?" "From Austria! Let me help you, I will get you a taxi!" Then the ladies told me, that they are poodle (dog) hairdressers and had to much "fisherman´s friends" to drink. I told my host Saara about this strange encounter and we laughed together. It´s a pity that nobody filmed me in my eveningdress rescueing the drunken ladies.Opinion on the CouchSurfing.org ProjectCouchSurfing is a great project, it will open your mind and you will learn a lot about other culture and other kind of lifestyle. I love to share my experience with other people with the same motivation. Make peace, open your heart and offer your couch, the world is so close and always a big challenge. I won´t miss this possibility to be a part of this community.

Oct 30, 2011 Positive We met at a couchsurfing meeting in a very nice wine tavern in Krems/Stein. It was a very pleasant evening and we had the opportunity to talk for hours. Barbara is very involved in the Krems couch surfing scene and can tell a lot of funny stories about couchsurfing in general. She´s a friendly and loving person and for that reason we are looking forward seeing her again.
