I enjoyed the company of Vladi and David a lot. I was pleased I could provide them with the comforts of home after being on the road for 14 months. Vladi gave me a great foot massage, David helped me with my swamp and the cat, and they took me to a nice dinner. On top of that - they cleaned up after themselves wonderfully!

David is awesome. I had a great time hanging with him and his wife in BKK. They showed me some places to eat and stay. Hopefully we will reconnect somewhere in the world!

David is every bit the legend he seems to be in his profile. What a great guy. I'm honored to met him during my stay in KL. He had a busy schedule while I was there so we didn't get to hang out much, but it's obvious that he's very dedicated to his friends, his hosts and to the cause of CS. I'm much looking forward to meet him again somewhere around this Planet! Safe Travels!

David is great! He is funny and great at conversations. I met him at a CS gathering that he organized, which is a wonderful occasion. I am most impressed by him and his wife, Vladi amazing adventures around the world. Their courage to sell everything they owned to travel definitely inspired me alot. La rencontre inattendue fut sympa. ça a fait beaucoup de bien à mon amie Kytee de parler français. Et David m'a rappellé à point nommé l'interet d'user couchsurfing que, j'avoue, je n'utilise pas.

I didn't get to talk to David all that much during yesterday's gathering that he so graciously organized, because there were so many people! And it was so fun :) But I got to talk to him and his lovely wife briefly before they got off the train and they came off as friendly, warm people :) Hope to meet again in the future!

 

David and his wife made me quite jealous when they told me they had been travelling for 15 months already with 3.5 more to go. I truly enjoyed the night they organised in Kuala Lumpur. I met some really interesting (them included) people thanks to them.

Hosting David was a pleasure. He is one of the travelers who I respect a lot because traveling for him is not just fun its life and its respectful. We talked and enjoyed spending time together. David we all are looking forward to see you again and host your lovely wife.

David is a traveller full of knowledge… but really, reaaaally, simple. We met in Ubud and more than all his great journeys story’s, what really impressed me was this sincere sentence: “I travelled the world looking for the perfect place to live… and I found that it will be back home”. What a great lesson! In 15 seconds he made rethink all my life :)

David organized a fun CS meetup in San Cristobal, and it was there while sharing a pitcher of beer that we realized we'd met each other during a hike a couple weeks prior in El Salvador! He's a friendly fellow, good energy, and a super active CSer... I wish him all the best in the rest of his round-the-world voyage, and I'm sure our paths will cross again somewhere seemingly randomly. The world's too small a place not to.

David is a nice person...polite and very friendly. We went to Glacier Perito Moreno Argentina and we enjoyed the trip and we drank mate.

 

David is really a very nice guy. Open minded, respectful, cheerful and with a spirit 100% CS. Someone with whom you can always have a good time, whether chatting, sharing any outdoor activity, you name it.

On his first night in Salta we share a meeting with a CSers from Salta and traveling companions, ate a ASADO done for me, we chatted, we had fun, we all have a good time, was really a great meeting.

We also had very good conversations on the night while taking the dinner made by his wife, Vladi, although I truly regret not being able to accompany them during the daylight hours. He also talked about his plans for the 16 months of travel. I envy you David, do you know it right? :)
The question is: Can I'll continue to be "the man who never sleeps"? The answer is YES!... jejeje.

I wish you great journeys in these next months and I will surely watch the blog to hear from you guys. A hug for you two and be sure that we will meet again, maybe in France? ;)

Any one who shares their good french wine with me is a friend! Even if I cannot remember their names. I really enjoyed David and Vladi's company at the potluck dinner. They made me smile and laugh out loud a lot! Or maybe that was the wine! Lovely people, great quirky sense of humour and I will not mention the wine again! A love started when David arrived at my home and kneew Mico Jagger. David, my french friend, was in love to my toy monkey. David and Mico ("monkey" in portuguese) went to Iguazu Falls and took picuteres together. Wonderful, hehhe. Despite this, I liked to know David and him wife Vladi, and host them at my home. David sang the France Hymn and we talked about soccer and, unfortunaly, about some games between Brazil and France. I hope to meet David again.

 

Hell of a nice people, David and Vladi, although I am a bit jealous of their marathon world trip. But they were very generous with that French wine, so I guess I'll get over it.

I surfed together with David and Vladi at CS hostel Murilo at Foz. They baked us amazing steaks and had fun at the Iguazu waterfalls (brasilian side... better than argetinian:)) David and Vladi are full 110% travelers, not pre-judging and believe in the positive side of people. I have not much to say about David and Vladi. They were perfect guests. They are two of the most active CSers that I met in person, and I'm pleased of knowing them, a little of their life, and their courage of getting rid of everything to make a dream come true. If they feel bad about having to leave, I feel bad because I'm working a lot, and couldn't spend more time showing them the city, or just chilling out.

You guys were definitly holding on to couchsurfing, whereas the availability of hosts rapidly declined after having crossed the Mozambique border from South Africa. I actually had two unofficial experiences in Moz, right after we have met the last time (after CS in Maputo).

I met Facon in Madrid for 1 day, while we shared the same host and he seems a full-of-life person, just in the midle of a world trip. David and Vladi are ideal guests. They stayed with me for almost a week, and I had a ball. Great conversationalists, they are a a great journey and have a nice vision of life and everything. You want them to stay with you!

I hosted David and his beautiful wife; they were my first guests. He is Very open minded; friendly and full of fun. I found him to be a responsible person with characteristics of a great leader. He is a well travelled couchsurfer and a notable ambassador of couchsurfing. My friends liked him too and I think they learned so much already. I found it easy to communicate from cultural aspects to politics and the environment with David and his wife (Vladi). If you want to host a couchsurfer who considers his host and does his best to help where ever he can David is one.

David was a great Cser to host. He was very culturally sensitve and my village loved him.

My friend Anouchka and me were very lucky to try out the couch of David and Vladi before they leave Paris. I felt very welcome, and even if the appartment was almost empty because of their future world trip, I really enjoyed the warm atmosphere of David, Vladi and their dog Follium. Thanks to them, we also met other couchsurfers during some meetings. And of course I won't forget the 'sightseeing trip' in the Parisian suburbs while David was trying to bring us to our next host. David was always available to advise me on the small manipulations to improve my page, then his wife also helped me to target better the CFs which come home, then from divisions sharings on our vision of the world. I have had no paisir yet to meet her. But they have a positive energy, who share her without mésure of true SC for another possible world.

He seems to be a dreamer - but the one that realises his dreams in reality. It's been a great time spent in the CS meeting in Sceaux. Allors: Bon voyage! :)

David kindly invited me to visit le Parc des sceaux. He drove me to this incredible place, and, although the weather was shite, we enjoyed a nice time walking around and chatting ( escorted by Folium, his cute little dog).
Although we only hung for some hours, I can tell, David is a very cool and unique dude, with an incredible CS spirit. I recommend him 200%. Merci David pour tout. Bonne chance dans ton "Tour du Monde en 500 jours". T'est le bienvenue au Nicaragua si tu change t'on plan de voyage. *Folium is also highly recommendable =)*

 

David took us to the lovely park of Sceaux. I found that David has a genuine desire for a community life and I appreciate that. He is 100% commited to this goal in each and every interaction with people around him. I find it impressive.

Were do I start?, David is such a nice guy and so warm and I felt like he was an old friend as he had the same views on travelling and life and has the same CS spirit I have. I am not sure if overdosed him on all my travelling pictures and tales, Me and my girlfriend Randi would gladly have David back any time in the future and perhaps when he has finished his big 500 day trip we can do some hitching as it has been sometime since I have done any and David raised my spirit to try it again. Id suggest to anyone to host David as he is warm,friendly,helpful and caring,Interesting and well just really a delight to host.

David surfed my place for a couple of nights on his Scandinavian hitchhiking trip. He's openminded, well behaved :o), full of stories and I enjoyed his company.

David is such an amazing traveller, he is generous and warmhearted and has the true couhsurfing spirit written all over him. We had an amazing time hosting him. One afternoon we spent walking in the National park close to our place and picked some mushrooms that we used for the dinner he prepared for us the same night.

Very positive, a cool guy that knows a hell of a lot with a good outlook on life, an open mind and good sense of humour.

I'm very grateful for having been shown around Parc de Sceaux as this is an absolute gem and I probably would never have discovered it otherwise.

We spent realy good time in David and Vladi's home. They are very nice people and we have great fun playing the guitar, camping, going sightseeing.We learnt a lot of things about traveling and camping and we are very thankfull of them.
And their couch even an old one is the most comfortable couch we've ever slept!

we travelled togheter first via train, then canoenying and later via train anther time. I spent good time with him, and I hope to see him in other countries, for example in italy or in the next canoenying meeting :)

As I was the official photographer ;) of the canoe trip in Hungary, David was the official musician. We spent great time with his guitar and songs. He is a very good example of a real couchsurfing spirit.

David gave incredible help to all of us by just being on the canoe trip. With the sound of music he create atmosphere of joy and happiness and with his cool, undisturbed presents he brought reinsurance of good time. It’s a pleasure to travel and learn from this guy!

He is a nice guy, one of the 5 passangers in my car (plus me. He stood it well with two girls and all the luggage :) and afterwards we spent several days canoeing on the Tisza, always accompanied by his guitar!

David and his girlfriend arrived to my place after a flight and a long adventurous way from the airport to my flat. Still, they had the energy to take a brief walk in the city, which was very nice. They're great company and very neat guests, we could hardly persuade them not to clean up the whole flat :)
He also took time to teach me a guitar lesson, which was so successful that my girlfriend is still nagging me to buy a guitar :D
If I ever start playing any instrument, I owe it to you, David!

 

Although we didn't had time to talk too much, guys I may say surely David is:
- very calm and level-headed
- perfect singer and guitar player (he was playing a lot, and it was just music for everybodys ears)
- good swimmer (he swimmed across 2 times river Tisza at a very wide and quite fast part)
- and very caring

A guy with rhythm in the veins. Unfortunately we didn't chat that much, cause in the evenings, he had the guitar in the hands and was playing and singing. He was a good center of the evenings and his smile a voice got people togather.

David hosted me two nights. Two interesting nights, actually. Impressive jungle speed match and a CS picnic at the Seine. He helped me a lot sharing his room and letting me know couchsurfing people and events in Paris. Moreover, he plays guitar really well, not like me, hehe. David is a really nice man with a big heart!He travelled the world with teenagers and offer them a real experience of life.He is a real entertainer and know how to divert you even during a professional meeting! More than Extremely Positive. David is just awesome, he hosted us in an extremely last minute situation. Even though he had other surfers, he offered us to stay in his kitchen!!!, yes in his KITCHEN. We had an amazing time with him, he showed us around, took us to a park and to a CS meeting to see the fireworks near Paris. I am almost sure that I first met up David in a jamming meeting. He's definitely very friendly and welcoming. His guitar is never very far from him and he's too modest to admit he's a great player (c'mon man, you rock!).

David and Vladi accepted me on such a short notice, and they were great! They took me to this huge, beautiful park, we climbed trees and lay on the grass sunbathing, which is how you should spend a Sunday :)

Also, I tried the best tortilla home-made sauce ever! :D

They are a very relaxed and easy-going couple, with lots of travel and life experience, and it was a pleasure to spend a night at their place!

I had an awesome first-time couch surfing experience! I could not have asked for better hosts who greeted us with such enthusiasm! They were so gracious as to make us coffee and breakfast in the morning and cocktails and snacks at night! We also had a great time jamming out on the guitar with David, taking their hyper dog Follium out for walks, and exchanging life stories. I would absolutely love to host them in my home when they go on their world tour!

David is a very interesting person. He organised this guitar meeting in Parc de sceaux and it was a beautiful moment. I enjoyed playing guitar with him!

David and Vladi are both wonderful hosts! They're friendly and give us good advice on where to go in Paris. Also they can mix an awesome drink (Tepunch) :)

Davide went out of his way to look after me in Paris. He nattered away in fantastic english and spanish rather than making me struggle in french, came to pick me up and made me late night pasta even though it was way after dinner time. The day started with his cracking melodies and he even welcomed extra guests at short notice. A true gentleman; it must surely be an honour to have this guy over

David and Vladi were the perfect hosts for our first couch-surfing experience. They were so gracious in welcoming us to Paris and made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. We will never be able to thank them enough!

I didn't get much of a chance to speak to David, but he organised a friendly meeting in Paris. My impression was that he has a quick sense of humour and a kind temperament, and I enjoyed hearing him play! à bientôt !

Just one night at his place is enought to feel that you really can trust him. He (as Vladi, his wife) is the kind of people that could be a very good friend for the whole life. So, I met David and Vladi and Follium at a small jamming party in a park in Paris. I can confirm that David is indeed a guitar lover and the way he customised his guitar with stickers from all around the world just reflects his desire to share moments and songs with people!
I must confess he lied about me : he can play the guitar much better than I can play the djembe but I rely on more jamming sessions to imrove... can't wait being on June, 7!!! ;D

WOW! I don't know you yet but I'm sure... you just rock!

We know each other thanks to mutual CS friend Sonja. I am sure you would like David from the very first moment. He is always in a good mood (only after watching Ind.J.4 was a little bit disappointed) and prepared to play some songs at his guitar (actually he plays very well, I am always looking forward to listen to his songs :o)
We are meeting up in Paris - doing trips, cooking pancakes, playing jungle speed, sharing beers.... and we did the bungee jump together!!!!I was so afraid, but the feeling when you jump.....
Just one advice, if you want to beat David in Jungle speed, offer him few glasses of Slivovice :o)

 

David is a very open-minded, laid-back, and talented musician. He definitely made a lasting memory for me when he played a beautiful acoustic version of Outkast`s "Hey Ya". It was hilarious. He was also so nice to take me to see the tourist parts of Paris, but I mostly enjoyed spending time with him and Vladi relaxing in parks. Thanks for being a great host!

My experience with David and his wife Vladi goes beyond the average couchsurfing experience. I have never before been welcomed and been made to feel so much like family.
David is a warm and personable guy who has jumped completely into the Couchsurfing spirit. He welcomes those in need, helps them, connects with them, and even serenades them on his several guitars.
I unreservedly recommend his couch and company.

David is a quite nice guy and i had a good time when i and my girlfriend stayed at his and Vladi's flat! i really enjoyed to talk to him,but it was too short time to get to know him better.. maybe next time when you and vladi come to vienna we have more time!! i wish you all the best (especially for your world trip next year)!

David was a perfect guest! He told me a lot on his trips and this encouraged me to keep travelling, he played the guitare and this encouraged me to start learning it myself, he is very open-minded and was curious about my drama life, and patient enough to attend a rehearsal. And then, he bought cidre and saucisson, which were really delicious! And thanks for the 'photophore'. See you!

David is such a nice, helpfull and friendly person!!!
He picked christian and me up at the metro and helped us with our luggage on the way to his flat. And if that would'nt be great enough, as we arrived we get some very good crepes, cider and have had good conservations at all. We felt very welcome and comfortable. It felt like we spend the time with old friends :)

David called me very luckely after I sent some desperate couchsurfing requests when Chantal and I got in Paris and had no place to stay. He and his wife Vladi were so kind to host us for one night even with another CS, Matthew. We had a nice evening talking, drinking some beers and playing Jungle Speed, Yeah=D!

David is a wonderful person. He pays attention in every detail (so he knows my blue boots very well) and tries to make his guests feel as if they were in home. Me and my friend had an excellent CS experience :)
David cooked for us the first night and took us to a fun CS party the second one. But the most important thing: Follium slept with us and keeped warm our feet. We will miss you both!

Staying at David's was the best first introduction into couchsurfing I could have hoped for! Incredibly hospitable, always cheerful, and makes a mean Raclet (?).

I stayed with him for 3 nights at the same time as Karina and Nelly from Mexico. The 3 of us were huddled around his coffee table for hours into the morning eating, talking, singing while David played his guitar, and playing Jungle Snap - which I am incredddddiiiibbbbly (that's for you David) bad at.

Of between all the wonderful things that you can find in Paris there is the very special one that few ones visit, and is a "castillito" (little castle) closely of the end of the line 13 of the "metro". This incredible place with impressive gardens I know it thanks to two amaizing persons, Vlady and David. Paris is full of incredible places but the magic thing you find it when you share it with persons as Vlady and David, who do your stay an unforgettable moment!!!!! I do not have enough space to describe the great heart that Vlady and David have and especially that they are ready to share them with all his guests to do of Paris an unforgettable place!!!!!!! I can only say THANK YOU!!!! I hope to meet them again in Mexico and share my beautiful country with you!!!!!!!

David was a great host. I slept on the futon for a couple nights in Paris, and David helped me a lot in my quest to see Paris. It was a great experience.

We met through a seminar in England organized by our company, good craic and fun, went dancing and ended up for the "after party" in the hotel, him playing good guitar and me messing up everything singing!!
I bet he has a good couch to surf, and David, mine is also welcomed in case you want to crach in Dublin one day ;)

All I can say about Vladi and David is "Vive la France"!!! They were just AMAZING. I feel really lucky that I got to meet this two beautiful people... They teach me so much: French words of course, fabulous French cousin (one of the best meals anyone has ever cooked for me! Thank you SO much Vladi!!!), French sense of humor, great times drinking beers (bières) and wine (vin), great tales about far-away-lands and touching music played with David's guitar...

I surfed his couch sor two nights in Paris. We were together only on the evenings, but the experience was very positive. He and his girlfriend were so kindly. Everything was full-service.

David and Vladi were the most wonderful hosts. I am so fortunate to have found them so randomly on couchsurfing. They are 2 of the nicest people I have ever met and were so hospitable. David even had the patience to teach me the guitar! My first trip to Paris has been an amazing and unforgettable one and I have David, Vladi, and their beautiful dog to thank for that! Vladi and David are a really nice couple who offered me their couch in Paris!!! they are just great. when you talk with them you feel that you are in front of very good people and very open minded too. they have a pretty dog call Follium, it's as nice as them. My experience with them was awesome.

David and Vladi were simply amazing!!! I could not have felt more welcome with them! David met me at the subway and we walked around the city, discussing our travels, and later David showed me amazing pictures of his past travels. Vladi made an amazing dinner and was incredibly friendly. David was so helpful and even met me on one of his work days to show me around. I wish I could have stayed longer!

David and Vladi and Follium (the adorible dog) are absolutely wonderful and very generious with not only their small space, but with their kindness and time. The fold out couch is a great night sleep, and it's very easy to locate the place. David speaks english very well, but Vladi forces you to have a go at french, and was very understanding and helpful with my awkward french speaking! It truely was an honour to have met this lovely family!

David and his wife Vladi are amazing people! As is their 'funky' dog Envoyè! They hosted me and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable... we went to a french movie with an actor named Pooleverde. and David taught me some guitar chords I didnt know. They will always be welcome in my home if they ever come to Arizona!
