!!!CURRENTLY TRAVELING AROUND THE WORLD!!!
SO UNFORTUNATELY NO COUCH ANYMORE...
<---
IF YOUR PROFILE IS EMPTY,
OR IF YOUR CS REQUEST IS A COPY AND PASTE, LOOK WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO YOU! ^^
But if your profile is complete, and if you take time to read mine (and of course if I'm available) ---> WELCOME TO PARIS!
Our old but faithful fold out couch is in the living room. Not so cosy but is it what you're looking for? I've been sleeping on it for two years when I was student. Our flat is about 50m2.
We have blankets & pillows.
Be also prepared to meet our little funny dog. Check the pictures folder "Funky dog?", or just watch this video to get to know "Follium" better:
Vladi and I both work from Monday to Friday, but our evenings and weekends are free! And if you come to visit us, I'm not sure we'll go to bed early...
When you leave our flat in CHATILLON, 30 minutes later, you're in the heart of Paris! (10 min. by foot, 20 min. by subway).
Near of our place, there's a huge and beautiful nature park, called "parc de Sceaux" with a little castle (10 min. by car, 45 min. by foot). We often take the dog for big walks in this peaceful place, and when the weather's fine, I like to play guitar there lying in the grass. BONUS:the castle is now a free museum!
Last but not least, as a good guest, I hope you will give us a hand to wash the dishes & stuff like this. We do love to cook for our guests, but if you stay for several nights, don't hesitate to fill up the fridge! & very important: please don't take a shower for half an hour! Think about your planet!
We're waiting for you!
(with beers in the fridge)
How long you stay is something
we can figure out once you are here...

Personal Description
"Tireless traveler"
Lucky husband of Vladi, a beautiful & spicy bulgarian woman!
Learn more about me thanks to my blog & videos.
!!!CURRENTLY TRAVELING AROUND THE WORLD!!!
3 years ago, Vladi & I decided to travel around the world. So we saved money for a long time, then sold or gave absolutely all our belongings, left our house, resigned from our jobs and are now away for some adventures since the 3rd of november 2008... We are actually homeless people looking for the best country to settle down... Discovering new places, meeting new people, hitch-hiking, camping & couchsurfing has slowly become our everyday life...
Check out the itinerary so far & our world trip blog!!!

The world is smaller than you think!

Interests
- Traveling as much as possible
- Climbing big trees to the top
- Watching good movies
- Playing guitar and singing with friends
- Extreme sports: skydiving, bungee jumping...
- Apnea: I feel so good underwater, especially with some whales or dolphins around!
- Hiking, Trekking, Backpacking
- Peaceful nature places (Mountains, Forests, Oceans...)
- Taking hundreds of photos while traveling (if you have time, check my photo folders to understand: it was a hard choice for me but for each visited country I uploaded only 15 photos...)
Philosophy
"la vraie richesse s'obtient en voyageant"
= travelling is the only way to reach true wealth
Music, Movies, Books
BOOKS:
- J.K.Rowling : Harry Potter is my favourite one ^^
MOVIES:
- Braveheart, Willow, Lord of the Ring, Harry Potter, Robin Hood, Indiana Jones, Gladiator, Master & Commander, Dances with Wolves... Did you guess I love to escape from reality?
- I'm fond of Hayao Miyasaki's movies too, especially Laputa, Porco Rosso, my neighbour Totoro & Princess Mononoke.
- Lately I really enjoyed Into The Wild & August Rush.
- & again: The Shawshank Redemption, A River Runs Through It, American History X, Cast Away, Good Will Hunting, The Big Blue...
MUSIC:
- Anything from the label of my former neighbours in Lille (north of France): OHAYO RECORDS
- Anti-Folk, Acoustic, Indie, Pop, Rock, Reggae, Flamenco, Bossa Nova, Samba... Mademoiselle K, Cranberries, Ben Harper, Saez, Louis Armstrong, Manu Chao, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Cocoon, Bob Marley, Tryo, Louis Aguilar, Muse, Leo88man, Moby...
- I also love to listen to some movie music soundtracks (James Horner, Joe Hishashi, John Williams, Howard Shore...)
Types of People I enjoy
Adventurer, explorer, kind, well-meaning, pacifistic, honest, environmentalist, musician, open-minded, funny, positive, stardust people...
NICOLAS HULOT is my hero! He has been travelling for thirty years all over the world, and now he fights in France for the environmentalist cause. Such a great man, I met him once during an UNESCO Conference.
MATT HARDING is an amazing guy! Who is Matt? You know... he's that guy who keeps on travelling & dancing all over the world...
Teach, Learn, Share TEACH/SHARE:
- I play guitar, so I can teach you some basics... I'm neither a beginner nor a master, I just know a few songs...
- I can stay more than 4 minutes in static apnea
- I have traveled a lot with teenagers in foreign countries as a summer camps director! Some videos? OK:
LEARN:
I would like to (can you help me?):
- Speak a better Spanish
- Travel for a long time on a old sailing boat
- Swim with dolphins & manta rays
- Try base-jumping!
With CS, I just want to believe that a better world is possible... Let's meet, so we can MAKE IT HAPPEN!

From Jens Fischer Vienna, Austria Feb 8 Positive It was funny to talk to Vladi and David in Chiang Mai. Felt a little bit like a self-help-group ;o)

From LucyLockett Chiang Mai, Thailand Jan 30 Positive I enjoyed the company of Vladi and David a lot. I was pleased I could provide them with the comforts of home after being on the road for 14 months. Vladi gave me a great foot massage, David helped me with my swamp and the cat, and they took me to a nice dinner. On top of that - they cleaned up after themselves wonderfully!
From Justin Barker San Francisco, United States Dec 22, 2009 Positive David is awesome. I had a great time hanging with him and his wife in BKK. They showed me some places to eat and stay. Hopefully we will reconnect somewhere in the world!
From Josh Cahill Berlin, Germany Dec 19, 2009 Positive David is every bit the legend he seems to be in his profile. What a great guy. I'm honored to met him during my stay in KL. He had a busy schedule while I was there so we didn't get to hang out much, but it's obvious that he's very dedicated to his friends, his hosts and to the cause of CS. I'm much looking forward to meet him again somewhere around this Planet! Safe Travels!

Lovely people, great quirky sense of humour and I will not mention the wine again! David and Vladi, I hope you are doing well on your travels. From Murilo Alves Pereira Foz do Iguassu, Brazil Apr 3, 2009 Positive A love started when David arrived at my home and kneew Mico Jagger. David, my french friend, was in love to my toy monkey. David sang the France Hymn and we talked about soccer and, unfortunaly, about some games between Brazil and France. I hope to meet David again.

They are two of the most active CSers that I met in person, and I'm pleased of knowing them, a little of their life, and their courage of getting rid of everything to make a dream come true. If they feel bad about having to leave, I feel bad because I'm working a lot, and couldn't spend more time showing them the city, or just chilling out.
See you in Europe.

Due to him I once again got new input referring to doing a world trip (including special equipement) and even to the pros and cons of couchsurfing. From Xoan Gonzalez Diaz Santiago de Compostela, Spain Aug 4, 2008 Positive David hosted me two nights. Two interesting nights, actually. Impressive jungle speed match and a CS picnic at the Seine. He helped me a lot sharing his room and letting me know couchsurfing people and events in Paris. Moreover, he plays guitar really well, not like me, hehe. He returned me the couchsurfing spirit I had abandoned some months ago... If you can, you must host him and his wife in their world trip. Good luck and many thanks! Hope to see you soon. Perhaps at youtube ... :)

From Relja Dereta Belgrade, Serbia Jul 7, 2008 Positive David and Vladi accepted me on such a short notice, and they were great! They took me to this huge, beautiful park, we climbed trees and lay on the grass sunbathing, which is how you should spend a Sunday :)

The day started with his cracking melodies and he even welcomed extra guests at short notice. A true gentleman; it must surely be an honour to have this guy over

From HAPPYSMILE Paris, France May 23, 2008 Positive UPDATING: May 23, 2008
So, I met David and Vladi and Follium at a small jamming party in a park in Paris. I can confirm that David is indeed a guitar lover and the way he customised his guitar with stickers from all around the world just reflects his desire to share moments and songs with people!
I must confess he lied about me : he can play the guitar much better than I can play the djembe but I rely on more jamming sessions to imrove... can't wait being on June, 7!!! ;D
Apr 30, 2008
WOW! I don't know you yet but I'm sure... you just rock!
From Lenka Rezabkova Prague, Czech Republic May 23, 2008 Positive We know each other thanks to mutual CS friend Sonja. I am sure you would like David from the very first moment. He is always in a good mood (only after watching Ind.J.4 was a little bit disappointed) and prepared to play some songs at his guitar (actually he plays very well, I am always looking forward to listen to his songs :o)
We are meeting up in Paris - doing trips, cooking pancakes, playing jungle speed, sharing beers.... and we did the bungee jump together!!!!I was so afraid, but the feeling when you jump.....
Just one advice, if you want to beat David in Jungle speed, offer him few glasses of Slivovice :o)
From Amanda Haymond Las Vegas, United States May 17, 2008 Positive David is a very open-minded, laid-back, and talented musician. He definitely made a lasting memory for me when he played a beautiful acoustic version of Outkast`s "Hey Ya". It was hilarious. He was also so nice to take me to see the tourist parts of Paris, but I mostly enjoyed spending time with him and Vladi relaxing in parks. Thanks for being a great host!
From Matthew Rocklin Chicago, United States May 10, 2008 Positive My experience with David and his wife Vladi goes beyond the average couchsurfing experience. I have never before been welcomed and been made to feel so much like family.
David is a warm and personable guy who has jumped completely into the Couchsurfing spirit. He welcomes those in need, helps them, connects with them, and even serenades them on his several guitars.
I unreservedly recommend his couch and company.
From Christian Michael Ysopp Vienna, Austria May 9, 2008 Positive David is a quite nice guy and i had a good time when i and my girlfriend stayed at his and Vladi's flat! i really enjoyed to talk to him,but it was too short time to get to know him better.. maybe next time when you and vladi come to vienna we have more time!! i wish you all the best (especially for your world trip next year)!
From Emmanuelle Chaillou Lyon, France May 9, 2008 Positive David was a perfect guest! He told me a lot on his trips and this encouraged me to keep travelling, he played the guitare and this encouraged me to start learning it myself, he is very open-minded and was curious about my drama life, and patient enough to attend a rehearsal. And then, he bought cidre and saucisson, which were really delicious! And thanks for the 'photophore'. See you!
From Ulli Pfeiffenberger Vienna, Austria May 7, 2008 Positive David is such a nice, helpfull and friendly person!!!
He picked christian and me up at the metro and helped us with our luggage on the way to his flat. And if that would'nt be great enough, as we arrived we get some very good crepes, cider and have had good conservations at all. We felt very welcome and comfortable. It felt like we spend the time with old friends :)
From Chiel van de Steeg Amstelveen, Netherlands May 6, 2008 Positive David called me very luckely after I sent some desperate couchsurfing requests when Chantal and I got in Paris and had no place to stay. He and his wife Vladi were so kind to host us for one night even with another CS, Matthew. We had a nice evening talking, drinking some beers and playing Jungle Speed, Yeah=D!

From Karina Cantu San Nicolas de los Garza, Mexico Apr 19, 2008 Positive David is a wonderful person. He pays attention in every detail (so he knows my blue boots very well) and tries to make his guests feel as if they were in home. Me and my friend had an excellent CS experience :)
David cooked for us the first night and took us to a fun CS party the second one. But the most important thing: Follium slept with us and keeped warm our feet. We will miss you both!
From Terence Tham Calgary, Canada Apr 17, 2008 Positive Cheerful, outgoing guy who's so hospitable and friendly. A very good musician too.
From Adam Wines Newcastle, Australia Apr 17, 2008 Positive Staying at David's was the best first introduction into couchsurfing I could have hoped for! Incredibly hospitable, always cheerful, and makes a mean Raclet (?).
I stayed with him for 3 nights at the same time as Karina and Nelly from Mexico. The 3 of us were huddled around his coffee table for hours into the morning eating, talking, singing while David played his guitar, and playing Jungle Snap - which I am incredddddiiiibbbbly (that's for you David) bad at.
A great guy and I really look forward to hosting him in Oz!!
From Olena Tanyevych Maisons-Alfort, France Apr 17, 2008 Positive David is a strikingly kind, open, generous person. Meeting this kind of people and this person in particular amazes me about the human open-heartedness capabilities. And simply, we had a great music accompaniment and fun time with the presence of David. Till soon, David!
From IVONNE CALLEJAS Mexico City, Mexico Apr 13, 2008 Positive Of between all the wonderful things that you can find in Paris there is the very special one that few ones visit, and is a "castillito" (little castle) closely of the end of the line 13 of the "metro". This incredible place with impressive gardens I know it thanks to two amaizing persons, Vlady and David. Paris is full of incredible places but the magic thing you find it when you share it with persons as Vlady and David, who do your stay an unforgettable moment!!!!! I do not have enough space to describe the great heart that Vlady and David have and especially that they are ready to share them with all his guests to do of Paris an unforgettable place!!!!!!! I can only say THANK YOU!!!! I hope to meet them again in Mexico and share my beautiful country with you!!!!!!!

From Elyane DeFontenay Canberra, Australia Dec 22, 2007 Positive David and Vladi and Follium (the adorible dog) are absolutely wonderful and very generious with not only their small space, but with their kindness and time. The fold out couch is a great night sleep, and it's very easy to locate the place. David speaks english very well, but Vladi forces you to have a go at french, and was very understanding and helpful with my awkward french speaking! It truely was an honour to have met this lovely family!
