Bruce is the perfect kind of host -- enthusiastic about showing you around and very hospitable. His pad is pretty sweet too, with a very beautiful and relaxing back yard which is perfect for sunset viewing. Thanks Bruce! I hope we cross paths again, my friend!

Bruce has been amazing. Very colorful, and whip smart. He gave me a Couch Surfing experience I'll never forget. The guy can cook like there is no tomorrow, wow.

Bruce was a great, interesting host for us in Tucson. He is what Couchsurfing is all about and although we didn’t get too much time to hang out, we went out for some hookah and hiked Madera Canyon on a beautiful Tucson day. We had some great conversations before I had to head out every morning. Thanks again!

 

Bruce is an awesome host! He provided a great comfortable private room. He brought me all over Tucson to Mt Lemmon, Sugauro Natl. Park, A Bluesfest, Gates Pass among other places. He's very knowledgable of the area and couchsurfing. I really enjoyed my time with Bruce, he's mellow, relaxed and cool to hang around with.
I highly recommend staying with Bruce, you won't be disappointed.

Bruce is a great soul. We met up for the Club Crawl and had a great time wandering around. He was kind enough to let me crash at his pad and made me an amazing breakfast.He showed me around Tucson the next day. Great company, and an even greater host.

I met Bruce at a CouchSurfing event in Tucson - he immediately made me feel welcome into the local CS community and I enjoyed hearing his stories about being a Country Ambassador. I'm impressed with all the time and energy he puts into CS!

Bruce, it was so nice to finally meet you in person after getting your incredibly helpful emails when I became a nomadic ambassador.

I really wish we had had a bit more time to talk at Burning Man, but every time I saw you I seemed to be in some sort of manic social vortex and never got the chance I wanted to talk with you one-on-one.

Bruce let me stay at his house for several days on my last tucson trip...he is a very respectful host and has a beautiful house, even though I had extensive plans that weekedn he took me and another surfer hiking and we had some really good conversations

Bruce was the first person whose place I ever surfed! :) He's very helpful and brought me & another surfer to the Bear Canyon trail for a hike. Bruce knows all the spots to stock up on healthy foods and will help you get oriented. His home is very nice and in a good area, plus his yard & garden is lovely.

 

Bruce was very welcoming and hospitable. We enjoyed our time at his place and his company.

 

My friends, Jim and Peggy Kingdon, and I were hosted for three days by Bruce. Bruce epitomizes the couchsurfing spirit. He made us feel welcome and comfortable, to be sure, but he also allowed us to share in his life, even if it was briefly. He joined us in a delightful day in Tombstone and provided us with a wealth of information about Tucson and its environs as well as insight into its flora and fauna. We enjoyed the thrilling experience of viewing over a dozen wild havolina from his backyard which in itself is a little Eden. Thank you Bruce for a wonderful couchsurfing experience and for the fine gift of your company.

 

Bruce is a fantastic host - very knowledgeable about his region and beyond. Generous to a fault, we had a great time together visiting some of the main attractions in Tucson. I would love to repay Bruce's hospitality when he visits Wales.

Well my experience with Bruce was one amazing learning experience. From the moment he picked us up and opened his house to us he was a gracious and informative host. There is almost no subject in which he is not a bit knowledgeable on. A true renaissance man. He showed us around the beautiful and picturesque town of Tuscon and learned me on everything from taking better pictures to the stock market.

I thank you for all you have shared and wish nothing but the best for you in the future, and if you ever do decide to teach please let me know, I will be one of the first signing up for it. All the best.

Bruce is AWESOME. He was so friendly and helpful (and a great cook) My friend and I were only going to stay a day but ended up staying five! Bruce has a great passion for the couch surfing project, and many other interests, which makes him easy to talk to and comfortable to be around. :)

 

We had a wonderful time at Bruce's house. So much that we extended two additional days just because it was such a great place to relax at. Bruce is a wonderful host and made us feel at home. He is also a knowledgeable couchsurfer and that was a good to be around. We would surf with Bruce anytime or host him, you should do likewise. He has a real outgoing personality and heart. SO GREAT! The best hospitality. He already had a full house but made room for two more! A great cook and we always left the table full. When we got lost we could always call Bruce and he'd help us find our way(or at least try!!). The best host to start out a CS experience.

Bruce is pretty much the sweetest guy you'll ever meet! He is extremely friendly and makes us cs'ers feel like family. I felt so welcome in his home and had a great time at the cs potluck he hosted. I would recommend him as a host. Can't wait to get to know you better!

Bruce is an amazing person > he came out of his way to pick us up because we were carless and brought us back to his pad even though he already had 2 surfers. he takes wonderful pictures and even hummingbirds enjoy his company. overall we thought that bruce was really in touch with the CS community (he contacted us within 5 minutes of our message!) we really loved how he opened his heart and offered us all the help we needed. THANK YOU SO MUCH BRUCE!!! you were a fantastic first experience :-P

 

I met Bruce in Tucson and he was an absolute delight. He has a very beautiful home and garden and is full of interesting stories and life experiences. We corresponded via email for quite some time before finally meeting and he has some very interesting life philosophies that flows with the CS culture. I cant wait to meet him again and i would recommend other CS'rs to as well!

Bruce welcomed us to his home with open arms. He's kinda like the dad I never had! He showed us around Tucson, and made brochures and newspapers available for us to find things to do. I couldn't have asked for a better host for my first couchsurfing experience. I felt at home the moment I walked in the door. He made a delicious chicken soup with fresh herbs from his own garden and a lemon pie from his own tree that was the best pie I ever ate in my life. He introduced me to his sister Eileen and her husband Skip and his friend Toni. He took us all on a most memorable trip to Mount Lemmon where he literally drove the extra mile in the rain and lightning to take me to the summit. We sat in his beautiful backyard with his dog Talli among his lemon trees and herb garden, visiting and enjoying a lovely view of the mountains and the desert. I hope I have made a friend for life with Bruce. He fixed my computer and taught me lots of search engine tricks. He also taught me some things about photography on how to take a great picture. He's one of the kindest people I have ever met. Thanks for everything Bruce. You are without a doubt my best friend in Tucson!

Bruce taking me to the National Parks was pure CSing magic! We had a great day looking at the cacti and the mission and he was really knowledgable about all the ecology. A fantastic host, you were a god send, thank you for a great day :)

Bruce is a very good host! He was very welcoming when we went to his house & very cool for letting us watch the game on tv! He also plays the guitar very well, kudos for that! Bruce is very friendly and interesting!

bruce was a great host to a CS potluck...he made me feel very welcome and was generous with his home...he was a great first CS encounter!

Havasupai Fall's trip started the night before with a trip to Walmart and a couple of shots. That is when the fun began with Bruce. Shockingly,funny, entertaining, never know where the conversation is going to go next. He's very enjoyable and I'm glad I got to spend some time with him. I look forward to spending some more time with him. ;-)

We shared one amazing trip experience together! Bruce is full of jokes and always on to adventures!

 

Bruce is a very enthusiastic guy... very considerate & easy to talk with... we met on the Havasupai trip and will probably cross paths again in Phoenix.

Bruce provided a huge tent for us in the grand canyon-thanks!! We took a rigarous hiking adventure together (his 1st or 1st and a half hike ever!). This guy can bushwack with the best of em, although i bet hes still in recovery a week later..

Bruce and I spent hours in the car conversing on or trip to the Havasupai camp. It was a glorious arrival after a 9 mile hike. We were tent mates during the trip & Bruce was very helpful and a good resource during the trip- willing to share his 40 lbs of packing with the other campers.

 

Bruce is someone who knows a lot, going from photography to places, to history and I really enjoyed talking to him. We hiked together, I surfed his tent Bruce is a very nice guy that you should meet

 

Bruce loves coffee and so do I! He also likes to joke around - and he likes dirty jokes too!

 

Bruce filled the morning air of our campsite with the delicious aromas of fresh-perked coffee and good pipe tobacco. He's an interesting combination of healthy stamina (went for a long hike in addition to the one that got us there) and kacha hachayim (able to fend off misfortune with a shrug). In short, a mensch!

Bruce is a great guy. I spent a few days with him down at the bottom of the Canyon at Havaupai Falls and really enjoyed his company. Easy going and friendly, he blended right in with this eclectic crowd of travelers and adventurers.

Bruce is the best, an awesome host and an excellent guide for us in our first time travelling in the Arizona desert. We truly think of Bruce now as a friend.

 

Bruce is a really generous guy. It's fun discussing with him because he's as good in listening as he is in speaking. He is an overt and true person.

Me and my friends Delissa and Ned surfed on his couch. We directly felt really welcome to stay at his place and enjoyed our time with him. Bruce will have a lot of different ideas for you during your stay in Tucson or in New Mexico in general. I recommend you to meet him and have a talk about the stock market...

 

Bruce is a factoid machine! Make contact with him, if even for coffee, to get the low-down on Tuscon upon first arriving. He knows the area and what it has to offer, well. If you surf, make sure you arrive before sunset and plan to have a relaxing tea on his patio...we regreted arriving too late for that experience. Even though our visit was short, we were offered food, laundry services and fresh fruit from his trees. Bruce has lots of wisdom to share if you have the time.

 

Bruce, traveller of the world, wine expert, made us feel completely welcome in his home even though we drove in much later than we expected. Even though we only surfed his fancy place in Tucson we had meaningful conversations on world travels, politics, religions, wine and movies. Top host!! Definitely will need to come back and visit.

Bruce was kind, generous of his time and gave us a couch and a room with free reign of his house. He drove us to see the wonderful attractions of Tucson and Arizona and also Mexico. Thanks Bruce !

Bruce is a LIFESAVER! The opportunity to make a cross-country roadtrip in a car powered by vegetable oil presented itself, so my friend and I put the call out for hosts in the various cities we would be visiting and Bruce responded whole-heartedly. He went above and beyond the call of duty, going so far as to guide us in when we got lost on the highway and then staying up way later than he should have to chat with us and to help make sure we were well accommodated. I viewed this trip as a sample platter of what the U.S. has to offer and am looking forward to coming back to Tucson so that we can spend some more quality time with such an awesome person. Bruce, we love you!
