One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watched the Lithuania men's national basketball team in the FIBA world championship semi-finals vs. USA, in a basement bar in Vilnius with CSers from Sweden, Australia, Poland, Germany and many locals. I got invited to the viewing party after attending a CS meetup the night before. YES I CHEERED FOR LITHUANIA!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I aspire to learn in every local language, in this order: thank you, the variation of "excuse me" that means "I'm sorry (e.g., that I trod on your foot)", please, and "I don't speak [this language]". I hate hate hate having to ask "do you speak English?" but if I have to, I try to at least do THAT in the local language as well. I don't always manage to say any of these things successfully, but I hope to show that I am willing to make an effort. Better than a Canadian flag patch. ;)
