Belgian and proud to be; I love history and geography (although i'm not working in any of these specialties) I'm a sort of independent person always ready to travel and to discover any new place and new people. I like to keep contact and offer time to time a couch to my friends and their friends, and their friends, and their friends.
Clean but not too much, calm but not too much, conscientious but not too much, talkative but not too much, ... :) So yes i'm stopping it here :)
How I Participate in CS
Just moved to Brussels but know already quite a lot about the city... and my country. So whenever I'm free when you ask for visiting can I guide you to find your way here.
Unfortunately I cannot host very often as it is not my place really. Will do my best for exceptionnal requests though. :)
CouchSurfing Experience
Please see my references :)
Interests
Photo, internet, trips, and i like to work. Yes yes, I like it. :) and CS (very good drug); I'm a Couchsurfing lover.
Philosophy
You need to open your mind to those people around you and even if some of them remain closed! Try it :)
Music, Movies, Books
Books: I don't like reading, but sometimes I do. I like Harry Potter's very much ;) and comics
Music: a lot of kind of music like Rock principally, but I hate RnB and Rap (by the way, that's not music. Just my opinion)
Types of People I enjoy
Smiling people; It makes a good day for you!
Teach, Learn, Share
You can teach me whatever you want!! and I can help you in French. Lucky you are, I'm really patient and have a good knowledge and understanding skills ;)
I can teach you some history of my country and its culture.
I share my spare time with friends and other travelers.
One Amazing Thing I've Seen or Done
- To climb up a mountain to go in a castle near Bratislava. The castle was closing and we wanted to go in to enjoy the view with my host Inta :)
- To take the car at the very last minute to drive 1200+ km, because i wanted to have sun and i was stucked at home, unemployed.
- Went to a Chinese hairdresser in Milano... I don't know Chinese language or Italian ...
- Quit my job in economic crisis, just because I could not stand my boss anymore
- Dove in the Great Barrier Reef
- Bungee-jumped from a bridge in the South of France (182m high)
- Dove in the New-Zealand sky, over a glacier, the sea, some mountains and a plain (12,000ft high)
- Done a trip around the world
- probably lot more coming
This summary is not a replacement for reading references; it's a quick summary to help you get started. At a glance, you can see how many references a member has, and how many of them are positive, neutral, and negative.
In the second line, you'll see how many references came from people who hosted this member, surfed with them, and traveled with them. These numbers won't always add up to the total: some references are not categorized, and some may be categorized as more than one thing.
When viewing this summary, don't jump to conclusions! Things that are negative for one person may be positive for another, and vice versa. It's important to read references carefully and evaluate what that information means to you.
Nous avons héberger et rencontrer la soeur de Christophe pour une journée et une nuit.
Ce fut un moment sympathique et maintenant nous en savons un peu plus sur la Belgique!!!
My sister and I stayed at his place for 2 nights it was really fun, although I was a waking zombie the whole time. He knew a lot about the city and was a really nice guy. Maybe next time I will be more awake, I guess that is what happens when you don't sleep all night and miss a train hahah. Thanks again !

My sister and I surfed with Chris for 2 days and had a great experience! He bent over backwards to make sure we had a great time; made us a map of things to see on our arrival while he was working, gave up his room for us to have the privacy, gave us an awesome tour of Brussels the day he was free, and walked us to the correct bus stop on our day of departure! We would have been lost without him! His knowledge of the city seems infinite, as well as his kindness. Definitely surf with him if you have the chance!

Christophe is a very nice guy ! He gave me a lot of very interesting information about Australia and NZ before my departure. It was and it is very helpful. Thank you again :o)
Christophe was a great guest in our home! He only stayed one night because he had to get to the airport early the next morning. Although it was brief, we did not feel he was simply using us for a couch near the airport. He did an excellent job of using CS for the way it was designed - to meet new people and form new connections as you travel. Even though we only talked for one evening, we have gotten to know each other quite well, and would welcome him back anytime for an after-work drink or to stay on our couch!!!
Chris hosted me and my girlfriend Anca in Arlon before going to Luxembourg for the weekend.
Chris is a very polite and straightforward host.
We slept on a mattress, in a big room, after spending a very pleasant evening with him and Pierre (his flatmate for a while).
Chris also invited us at a party in Luxembourg, where me and Anca had a nice time. He also drove us in Arlon to the point for to hitchhike.
I appreciate his flexibility, his sense of humour and his availability.
Christ is a very nice guy who once had a Mr Oizo. I introduced him and his friend Elena to some friends of mine.
I hope he'll came back to see Lille more.
Stefan and I spent nice (though short)time in Pierre´s and Chris´s cosy modern house. It was a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Chris was so kind to give us some maps and information about Luxembourg. He even drove us with his car to the hitchhiking point! I am so sorry we were so tired and had to leave the CS party so early!
Thank you soooo much for saving me! ... and for the guided tour, of course! Christophe is an interesting, generous and very spontaneous person and I hope I can welcome him in Tübingen someday!
