Puget-sur-Argens? You never heard of it? It's not the
nicest village of France. But it is quiet, without tourists and it is perfectly situated half way between Cannes and Saint Tropez right in the middle of the French Riviera.
I live in the center of Puget-sur-Argens, about 7km from St. Raphael (just 5km from the beach in Fréjus)
You can see me in a report available on "You Tube" > couchsurfing > report dated 2007, Aug. 23 – 2:35 minutes still available today..or click on HERE in blue on the right of this page.
There is a bus stop right next to my house that can get you anywhere around the region and to/from a main train station.
I have a spare room with a bed and blankets plus an extra couch in the living room if necessary for an extra person.
I live alone, retired and enjoying my retirement.
Couchsurfers are welcome for 2-3 days but possibly more if the need arises and we are having a good time together!!
Both weekdays and weekends work for me.
If u just wanna meet, have a drink, a walk or else.. you can call me: +33.494.456704 (No couch requests by phone please)- e-mail rgowy@gmail.com

I'm a person who is very open to new people and new cultures. I like nothing more than meeting different people from all over the world and hearing their life stories. I am very easy to get along with and to talk to whether it be over a glass of beer/wine or a relaxing dinner in my garden.
Until now (April 09) I'have had the opportunity of hosting many wonderful couchsurfers, whose names you'll find next my profils pics. I cannot express with words how strongly I recommand them to everybody
How I Participate in CS
I participate by opening my house to couchsurfers and couchsurfing when I travel.
CouchSurfing Experience
I've done both: hosted couchsurfers at my house and couchsurfed at other people's places. All of them have been amazing and rewarding experiences.
Interests
Hiking, going to the beach, playing bridge, trivia challenges, beer and wine, cooking.
Philosophy
I think everyone in the world has unique stories and experiences and I would like to hear about their experiences and share some of my own.
This summary is not a replacement for reading references; it's a quick summary to help you get started. At a glance, you can see how many references a member has, and how many of them are positive, neutral, and negative.
In the second line, you'll see how many references came from people who hosted this member, surfed with them, and traveled with them. These numbers won't always add up to the total: some references are not categorized, and some may be categorized as more than one thing.
When viewing this summary, don't jump to conclusions! Things that are negative for one person may be positive for another, and vice versa. It's important to read references carefully and evaluate what that information means to you.
Robert is the best CS ever!!! He was very sick but still he was always taking care of us, cooking for us, giving us tips about the Cote D'Azur... We definitely recomend him.... thank you so so so much for everything! :)

Positive
Thank you Robert for hosting me and a friend at your place during one night. Thank you for the diner and i hope that you feel better now.
Give me news when you will have time and you are welcome at my place in Toulouse when you want !
See you maybe in a next CS meeting :)
Robert hosted me and a friend, while hosting two other couchsurfers. Even if he was sick at the time, he really made a lot of efforts to welcome us. We all shared a very good meal together, that he cooked for us. How awesome ! It was also very interesting to read his CS book and hear about all these great experiences. I absolutely understand why he has so many positive references. He really deserves them !!!! Thank you Robert and take care.
Wow! What can I say about him... just WOW!
He is really strong man with kind hart and great soul... I spend just 3 days with him, but I wish I could spend more and I hope I could visit you one more time at your paradise with Vespa, Rose and morning bagets. I cross all Europe but this is just second place where I felt myself happy.
So thank you! Thanks a lot for sharing your goodness with us!
Exceptional meeting with Robert. We had an interesting discussion about Brittany culture and Belgium.
I hope to have the same shape and the same spirit as him when I grow up
This is what I want to be when I get 84… Happy, active and with a young heart and mind that let me share with people from all ages, nations and ideas… We met in a St. Raphael’s CS barbecue meeting. He has great stories and he really surprises me when he dance French-tango and even try to dance latin music! A person to meet
I have hosted Robert during 2 nights for the CS Congress France held in Caen. I must admit that I was totally in admiration about his energy and devotion to CouchSurfing spirit that he showed! It was really a great experience & honor for me to meet him during this week-end; and for sure, you must be prepared to see me landing to your place in Puget Sur Argens to share some belgium beers & "grand-father-home-made" calvados with you very soon! Cheers my friend!
