I grew up in Toronto, with the acception of a year in Thouars, France when I was fourteen. I'm taking a year to backpack around europe before studying fine arts in the fall. I'm loving the backpacker lifestyle. As for my personality, I am generally a friendly, open minded type. I try to avoid conflict, and I am not competetive. I am laid back but also shy, it takes some time, maybe a couple drinks to get me talking alot. I do like to go out, party and whatnot but I also need alone time. I am a coffee drinker.
How I Participate in CS
I've couchsurfed a few times with great results and plan to do more surfing over the next few months. Once I have a real home, I hope to have a couch to offer.
Interests
I love painting and drawing, I'm studying fine art in university soon. I also like photography as a hobby. Love travelling, of course. And like anyone, I enjoy music and meeting new people, learning from them and making friends.
Music, Movies, Books
A guilty pleasure is deffinitley the Harry Potter series.. Some other movies i like are The Science of Sleep, Factory Girl, Adam, I am Sam, Paper Heart, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Reality Bites, etc. I like alot of music...indie,rock, alternative, acoustic, classic rock, some blues/jazz and some folk too.
I should read more but I like catcher in the rye, all the pretty horses, the golden cup..lately I've been into fantasy books.
Types of People I enjoy
I admire people who are not afraid to discover new things, good and bad in many ways. I get along well with really talkative and open people as I am happiest when listening, observing and learning. But there's a thin line between confident and conceited.

CECILY BINNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A name that was so familiar to myself and my housemates before Cecily even arrived. Cecily had even made a great impression before walking through the door.
It's safe to say that myself and all the boys thoroughly enjoyed her stay, even Ben.
It was great having Cecily around for a couple of days. We went out on her first night in town and danced the night away. Before long Cec was dancing on tables and throwing tequila shots across the bar! What an animal!
All the boys at 71 would love to have you back any time madame! Just let me know...
(it's possible that I may have exaggerated some of Cecily's behaviour here - host her and you be the judge)

Cecily is a gentle, independent and capable person. A bit shy at first but not for long. She is new to CS so I hope she surfs more and stays in hostels a little less, please host her if you can.
