About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I hope to find, within weeks time, someone that will begin as a complete stranger and become a friend I'll have for the rest of my life. No expectations, but I hope for someone friendly, happy, and open for fun interaction
ABOUT ME
I consider myself a pretty happy person; I laugh a lot. I love to talk to people and get to know them. I like adventure, traveling to unfamiliar places and meeting new, different people.
I went to school at Southern Methodist University in the heart of Dallas, TX and just graduated in May. So I was applying for med school this past summer and was like what the hey, I don't want to go back to school where my best friends are my books, why not do something worthwhile now. So I decided to be a H.S. teacher, love working with kids, you know love stimulating young minds and bringing laughter... Well I enjoy it off and on but mostly its an effort to teach motivation. The kids are lazy! So I'm still considering the med school path, might apply over the summer... we'll see
Out of school I like hanging out with friends, usually something really relaxing. I love going out and having a good time but I don't like getting drunk. Can't really stand loud music or bump and grind dancing for that matter. Movies, dinner, road trips, discovering new places are my things
I love singing to myself and long conversations. Occasionally I'm politically incorrect not because I ever mean to be offensive but because I have a strange sense of humor. Some people say I not only cross the line in my humor but just linger over it for some time.
PHILOSOPHY
I heard on some cheesy radio advertisement one time that "the tragedy is not that people die young but that they grow old and never really live." I try to live my life loving people find joy in meeting people in all walks of their life, even if that means putting off studying for a test or running an errand. I think its important to live life for a purpose.
"He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose" - Jim Elliot
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Still looking for that first couchsurfer. I discovered this by couchsurfing in Amsterdam when I studied abroad last year. I found an absolute gem in my host and now that I got my own place and my own couch, what the hey - lets do it.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couchsurfed in Amsterdam last November (2008) and had an absolutely amazing experience. Nina let me hang out with her friends who were amazing, showed me places to go around down, and was just hospitable. My best times were just sitting and talking.
Interests
I love getting to know people and engaging people. I love sleeping in. I like to play golf, basketball, and football in my freetime but I wouldn't consider myself good in any of them. I enjoy hiking, jogging, and the outdoors, even though its hot as hell to do all the above in Texas. I like going on random road trips. I like playing poker and going to the movie with my friends. The occasional casino trip is never a bad idea for me either. I like singing in the shower but also singing out of the shower as well. I love serving others and I love laughing and making others laugh.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Um I made a bouquet of origami flowers for my last girlfriend - I took some pride in that... but not in the last girlfriend. I once bought a homeless kid (18ish) a bus ticket to Missouri because he told me he had family up there that could take care of him; he somehow later ended up in Minnesota and is in the National Guard.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would say put others above yourself. When someone asks for a favor take pleasure in having the opportunity to give and give. Go out and find opportunitie to bring joy in others' lives. Quickly forget when you give to others but remember when others give to you.
I want to learn about new cultures and hear about people that have had totally different experiences than me.
