I used to work for a Plant Conservation European project (until Nov 09) where I travelled a lot to work with European Seed Banks. This was my best work experience.
I'm now working for another EU project linked to Biodiversity data, based in Cambridge (UK).
My dream would be to own a farm and grow organic stuff + honey somewhere in the Mediteranean region or the tropics... where couchsurfers interested in organic stuff/ancient varieties conservation could stay.
How I Participate in CS
Offering place to stay in Cambridge (UK) for a few nights.

This summary is not a replacement for reading references; it's a quick summary to help you get started. At a glance, you can see how many references a member has, and how many of them are positive, neutral, and negative.
In the second line, you'll see how many references came from people who hosted this member, surfed with them, and traveled with them. These numbers won't always add up to the total: some references are not categorized, and some may be categorized as more than one thing.
When viewing this summary, don't jump to conclusions! Things that are negative for one person may be positive for another, and vice versa. It's important to read references carefully and evaluate what that information means to you.

It was fun meeting Stef while hiking in the Cinque Terre National Park. He saved me from being lost, cold and hungry. Although it was raining we went for a swim in the sea. I hope we meet again!
Stef!! what a great person... the Ecologist God!! he takes you to endless Journeys into the Green world full of plants. I enjoyed very much traviling around with him in Crete Island, I feel as a special person when I am with Stef. He is easy going person simple and has a very interesting character. I hosted him in Munich and it was great time we spent with other friends. we traveled more than 5 days around Europe with his car and it was the best time ever I could sped with such a great person.

Stef stayed in my house for 3 nites, unfortunately I didn't meet him as I was away but he left no sign that anyone was even there except for a lovely plant he left behind for me. Thanks for the plant Stef and maybe see you soon.
Stef took me on a unique botanist’s tour of the Ring of Kerry, making for a marvellous weekend. Despite the enduring mystery Kerry Lilly… carnivorous plants, delicate ferns and colossal clam monsters emerged. His passion for brown-spotted tomatoes, bent cucumbers, and outlawing golf-courses is inspiring
It was really cool to meet Stef, which I'd describe as an epicurien: happy, enjoying his job as well as his social life, free like the wind, some fulfilling projects for the near and the long term future. The kind of person who seems to be in his element no matter where his travels take him. No need to say he loved the irish pubs ;) not only for the beers but also for blending in with the locals!
he was a great guest as he was very conscious of not disturbing the people living in the house, and he was ok with the primary comfort I had to offer.
Stef is a fantastic Couchsurfer. We talked about everything and anything for the three days he was here. + he had access to the Trinity College Botanical gardens' van, and could park it on campus in TCD. We drank Guinness, perused the talent in Rathmines and he gave me a proper French education on wines. Forget Cabernet Sauvignon from New Zealand, Bordeaux and Burgundy are where it's at. He also introduced me to Sigur Ros. I hope to see him again soon, maybe even in Crete!
