Katja Lachmann

Un placer recibir a Katja y Augustas en mi casita de Mérida. Me inspirarón mucho para viajar.

 

It was nice tp share some times with Katja and Augusta, and listening to their travelling (or, better, life) experiences. Hope I'll meet them again!!

 

At first I have meet Katja through reading letters from her and Augustas journeys and later on met in person while they were staying in Aalborg. Katja is a very sensible and compassionate person who was able to preserve inner child at heart :) On the other hand be prepared to hear the lecture on evils of lactose and glutamine :))

Oh and be sure to get her book "Follow the Road - Alongside the People of this World" a very nice read about there adventures in South America!

I have to say that I was impressed by Katjas and Augustas passion for travelling, experience, very interesting stories and the unforgettable presenation about Latin and South America. Katja is very creative and postive person and I hope that I will have the chance to talk to you again. You know how to motivate :) Thanks for nice times in Aalborg!

 

Wow...what can I say. Katja and Augustas hosted us in Aalborg...and we saw hospitality and kindness at its best!! They are so interesting people, deep, friendly, considerate, understanding and helpful. Though I could not spend as much time with them as I'd like to, I can say that I like them very much and would trust them with anything. Meet this wonderful couple!

Katja is one of the persons, who knows what she wants ;). I think she is strong and very interesting person. She is good to talk about (not only) serious subjects. I'm really glad to know her.

 

I would like to share more travel storys with her but the evening was on his end before we could do it. I wish the best for the plans with the travel book and she is always welcome to my home.

 

Sometimes you meet special people and other times you meet really special people. Augustas & Katja are a couple you won't find anywhere else. One of a kind. It was really nice to share some time with them in Valparaiso. Maybe the next time in Europe... who knows! Katja: I won't forget that "german vegetarian" goulash ;)

Katjia is a magic woman, we shared stories of our lifes,about our family stories with true honesty, we are very confident to talk about our life experiences and good conversations, I can only say that she is lovely!

Katja and Augustas are an amazing couple, full of energy, love, sustainable ideas =) and so many other nice things. They helped me and my cousin a lot during our adventure in Cuenca and we'll be eternally thankful. Anyone will adore to have them in their place. Hopefully, see you on February 2008 =)

i asked katja for help and information about lithuanian. she and augustas were just in berlin at this time - really good luck for me!
was an interessting meeting which i like to remember. they were really really friendly and trying to help me -she sent me a digital version of her lithuanian learning book...
really cool persons with a realy interesting way of and in life!

I hosted Katja in Panama (my family still missing you guys) we talk about many things, traveling, culture, buddism, she cooked for us, and after almost a year we still in contact, she is really friendly..please if you have the chance to meet her, you will enjoy for sure.. take care and keep following the road! :D

first we stayed with katja and augustas in cuenca, then we met again in quito... they are open, friendly, interested people, katja even shared energy from a therapist when I didn´t feel good.

Katja and Augustas welcomed 4 of us into their tiny apartment, and showed us where to find the best vegetarian food in town.

Katja is an extremely caring and loving individual dedicated to her work (writing) and has a real passion for long-term travel. She and Augustas (username:augustas) are definitely in the tiny group of REAL weathered travelers that intimately know about "life on the road".

It has been a very wonderful and life changing experience.There are few people like Katja.She is a focused and visionary friend. I have the priviledge and honour to reccommend her.

Augustas & Katja are true travellers...we met them in Ecuador, but we are sure we'll meet somewhere else in south america...

Augustas' and Katja's apartment was small, but very homely and we enjoyed our stay with them very much. They provided a very peaceful environment to help ease the stress of traveling and shared a lot of stories about their travels. They're the kind of people you hope to run into again in the future.

Was my best couchsurfing experience‼ I miss you Augustas and Katja already, but I´m sure we´ll meet on the world again sometime‼

Katja is a marvelous person. I can't count the times I felt so lucky that I'd met her. She has such a good heart, and she really inspires the following of one's dreams. Not only that, she makes delicious vegan meals, has great taste in movies, and creates very cool art. And I'm sure if I could read German I would also love her book! It was wonderful getting to know you Katja!

 

Augustas and Katja set off on an amazing journey to hitch-hike the world over 18 months ago. We met them at the CS meeting in Cuenca and it turned out right away we had quite a few things in common. A couple of days later they invited us to their place for a delicious vegetarian lunch. They both make a very nice and interesting couple & I wish we had spent more time together... Many Happy Travels, guys & see you on the road :-)

 

We met Katja and Augustas in Cuenca, Ecuador on the Couchsurfing meeting. They also invited us for a delicious lunch together with other CS members. They are very nice and interesting couple, at the moment hitch hiking around the world. Good luck to you guys on the road, hopefully our ways will cross once again.

She's one of the most travelling women I know. She's adventurous, friendly and cheerfull, you will never get bored with her!:)

Katja is a very nice person, she and Augustas stayed home for some days, they both are very interesting persons, easy going, smart and with great vision of the world. now I am bit ashamed and I won't sing in german again, hehe cause I am the worst one! hope to see you soon in Cuenca. greetings Katja and a lot of thanks for the book :) I like it! :). I know Katja for several years already, but I will always remember the moment I have met her for the first time! She is a kind of person you trust with no doubts since the very first second - sweet, energetic, positive, optimistic.

 

I got to know her via emails first and then we tried to create some projects together. When I first saw her, there was a sparkle in her eyes that stroke me in the very first minute.
I admire her ambition and the way she follows her own road.

I met Katja in Mexico City. We compared notes about "hardcore travelling", and I must say that she has more experience than I. You too can learn from her if you host her. I hope to get to her level one day regarding both hitchhiking and tenting to save on accommodation costs. Not only should you trust her, but you should take advantage of her experience and get to know her. We will all be better travellers if we are more like her.

We had some relly good conversations, not very much time together, but that was a nice one!

 

Katja is a very friendly and possitive girl, it was great to meet her when she stop for a day at my place with Augustas. Both of them are really interesting people... worth to meet.

Just meet Katja... you will meet a lovely and open person with lots of ideas!
