About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To find my role in God's great masterplan

ABOUT ME

I m a music lover. I can't live without music. The times I don't listen to it or play it I m depressed. I hear rock mostly, all kinds of it and classic music, but I also like traditional Greek music, especially Cretan folk, the only thing I can dance to. I spend most of the time reading while listening to my favorite radio station, 1055rock Thessaloniki. I play a little guitar and baglama (miniature bouzouki) when I m in the mood. I used to play the violin but I have become rusty since I haven't touched it in years. I utterly love my sister! She's the person I love the most in my life. I 've had experience in martial arts (ITF TaekwonDo and Judo) which gives me the confidence to go anywhere without being afraid something might happen to me. I m a very calm person, it would take all hell to piss me off, but you don't want that to happen. I m a rock climber (I m rock generally) and I go hiking occasionally, that's why I want to quit smoking so bad, so I will become better in these sports. Smoking is like a chronic disease.

PHILOSOPHY

I am Christian Orthodox. Jesus Christ was the first anarchist ever. But since the reign of heavens has nothing to do with cosmic authority I m merely interested in anarchism. I believe that a closer state of rulership to the Christian philosophy would be socialism with respect to religious beliefs as long as religion wouldn't be involved in the affairs of the state. We are all Gods creation an all our actions should have love as a source and motive. I realize there's also great wisdom in the path of Dharma as well. My favorite quote is "we should not judge other people with our standards"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I wish to do some traveling at nearby locations, that is why I offered my hospitality and maybe I can get some hosting abroad as a payback

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

For a year and a half I have been hosting guests in my house, spending time with them, cooking, taking them out for coffee or showing them around the city but at the present time I have very little time for others and I find it hard to keep up even with my close friends. I figured it's about to change since I want to take baby steps outside my country. I enjoy speaking with foreigners and discussing about their country and civilization. It's always fun to meet new people.

Interests

Music, literature (fantasy mostly), role playing games, martial arts, films from time to time, rock climbing, mountaineering, hiking.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

visited 2 states (0.88%)Create your own visited map of The World or jurisdische veraling duits?
I 've been at the summit of Mount Olympus and I 've seen Thessaloniki from there. I 've climbed at a rock tower at Meteora (Kalambaka, Trikala) called Agio Pneuma in a route called Trampfire (in German) or To Pilie ton Oneiron (in Greek) which towers 250m at a difficulty of V+. The most difficult route I 've climbed is in Meteora, a 140m rock tower called I kopsi tou Gypa (the west edge of the vulture) of a difficulty of VI+. That one really tested me the most, but I also climbed a 6b+ at Iraklitsa, Kavala, the route was named "Trypokarydos"(=woodpecker), by rating it was more difficult, but I didn't have such a hard time there than in Meteora

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach somebody the basics on playing the musical instruments I play. I can also tutor safe climbing and escort a climber to indoors climbing in Thessaloniki during the winter. My current finances do not allow me to escort exibitions at rocks all over Greece but maybe near Thessaloniki. I can share my climbing gear though. I am currently out of shape in climbing and have to recover and build physical condition to perform the way I used to once upon a time
