About Me

My name is Didier and I feel so fortunate that I managed to realize my lifelong dream by opening an amazing eco hostel right at the beach on the beautiful island of Hvar in Croatia. It all started with couchsurfing back in the days and that passion is still very alive. Cs is just the best initiative ever! I hosted thousands of people so far, here and in Croatia and I surfed a lot as well. All such great experiences! Meeting new people, discover the local life, sharing nice conversations about their country and culture, enjoy new places... That's the best part about travel ! So if you'd like to visit Brussels, don't hesitate to contact me :)

Be also welcome in my eco hostel in Croatia, on the beautiful island of Hvar!

In 2013 I did an amazing world trip, meeting fantastic people all over the planet through CS and it gave me even more passion to host my fellow travelers who happen to pass through little old Belgium for some chocolate and beer... It learned me one thing about people... There are no strangers. Only good friends who didn't had the chance to meet each other in person yet!

When I'm in Belgium (only a couple of months during winter), I work as an independent cinematographer as well, so if you're into cinematography or photography, I would love to meet to share our passion!

I also would like to say that CS is not to help you find a free place to stay. It's about experiencing local life, discovering local cuisine, sharing, caring, making new friends, ... So if you are just looking for a free couch, please skip my profile!

But if you're into making friends, meeting local people, sharing local life, tasting local food, etc you're very welcome! Every person who enters my life is considered a friend meaning I expect you to behave like one too. I can show you around to the nicest places, let you discover the local food in some nice restaurants if you're into that or just cook some nice Belgian home food and have a delicious local beer. Without forgetting the typical Belgian sweets like chocolate and waffels of course! If you need a map, i can provide you one if I'm not able to join you into the city because of work for example. My recommendation is 1-2 days for Brussels. Other very nice cities are definitely Bruges, Gent, Antwerpen, Namur, Dinant and the coast if the weather is nice!

So be welcome my friends... Welcome to Belgium !
