Duncan McLeod

 

My first CS experience on the pacific side of the world, and a great one. Duncan showed us newcastle and the surrounding, teach us with his brother to play lawn bowling. I also learned to dry my food and make my own beer :) Hope the snowy mountains trip was nice !

Duncan is way cool! He is into everything, and has a passion for life that is infectious. He also brews his own beer too, and makes beef jerky! He also knows Norwegian, and and and... you get the point. There is never a lack of anything to talk about with this guy. My stay in Newcastle was amazing! Thanks for everything.

 

Duncan knows how to live it up. He's a genuine good bloke and is the ideal couchsurfer. If you're looking for a mission, something exciting or just some good drinking times, Duncs is your man!

 

I was introduced to Duncan by a friend of mine and fortunate to taste some of his home brewed beer while hanging out with his friends. He is definitely one of the nicest Australians I've met, easy-going, active and ready to help whenever he can. He is absolutely trustworthy and already helped us out various times, e.g. lent me his camera when mine was broken or gave us a lift to and from the airport. Thanks heaps for everything, Duncan! I'm really glad I got to know you!

 

Duncan is one of those people who go far and above the hospitality, generosity and good times already associated with CouchSurfers in general. He was very helpful with transport around the city, helping myself and a couple friends out a number of times, organizing events in Newcastle, introducing us to some tasty homebrews, and always willing to help out in some way or to show us a good time. Bummed we didn't get to hang out more, but way stoked that we did get to meet up; have fun on your trip around Oz, and give me a shout when you make it over stateside! cheers duncan

Duncan is a down-to-earth, easy going, adventurous guy. I really enjoyed having him stay with us, and would highly recommend meeting him.

Duncan really is very friendly and open minded person who has lots of interesting and funny stories to tell from amazing things he has done!! He is very active and interested in many things it'd be a pleasure to meet him again!

Dunks is one of the most active members in Newcastle and is proactive in orgainising CS gatherings for the Newcastle group.
Dunks is a keen home brewer and was kind enough to invite all the Newcastle group around to his home to sample his produce.

Met Dunks at the CS pub meet he organised, and most of us went to his place the next night for a few bevs, and lots of good times. The weekend was my first firsthand experience with couchsurfing, and it could not have been a better introduction! Thanks for teaching me how to open and pour beer :-P.

I stayed three nights at Duncans couch and we had an awesome time! He loves to chill, showed me around Newcaste and took me with him to do some surfing and freaky unicycling with his friends. We also had "a few" beers and an amazing weekend! I hope to meet you again either for trying your black beer or for showing you some real mountains!

Duncan is an awesome guy and he has a sweet place for hanging out, I met him through the Newcastle group and we chilled out and had some beers. Duncan is a great guy evidenced by the fact that 5 or 6 of his friends came over that night to hang out. Talk about a relaxed environment, I felt like I was at home and wished that I was staying with him, but that was my last night in town. Definitely host Duncan if you can, and if you are in or passing through Newcastle, I highly recommend that you stop for a night or two. Newcastle is good surfing with Duncan is better!

Thanks for having me, I had a lot of fun in Newcastle! Duncan is a very active and helpful person. Fun to spend time with... Nice beers and fun surfing (and a cool dad). See you soon!

Ending up on Duncan's couch in Newcastle was a wonderful experience. From first email contact onwards this guy had a relaxed and openminded feeling. He is basically into everything and that makes him very interesting. Want to know more, be sure to surf or host him. Cu again really soon for more adventures.

 

I will never forget the 2 days in Newcastle with you, your friends and the other members of CS. It was one of my best nights in Australia. And He and all his friends are very funny, open mind and interesting. Sangria and Calimocho forever!!!!

Dunks is one of the nicest blokes I know, He loves to travel, so he always has a good story to tell ya when sitting around have a beer.

Duncan is a very friendly and open person. I met him at a CS meeting in Oslo. He invited me to come to Newcastle if I'll be in Australia. Of course I'll come! See you then. Aussie, Aussie, Aussie! :)

 

I've known Duncan since about 92 when we played soccer and later went to school together. He is an awesome bloke who knows how to have a good time. I would definately recomend him to anyone.

Duncan and I became best friends during his short stay in Narvik. He came as a stranger and left as family! When I surfed his couch for three months I got to fully enjoy every aspect of the greatest guy in the world. He is up for all types of adventures, and if they all come simultaneously Duncan won't hesitate a second to go for it!

Not only is Dunks the master of missions, he also brews his own beer!

duncan was a first-rate chap! i thoroughly enjoyed hosting him here in hong kong. open-minded, ready to try anything new, great sense of adventure, very generous, always easy to talk to - all of these things describe the dunks-tron. i highly recommend you meet him!(duncan: i'm watched 'the castle' and thought it was AWESOME - now i feel more educated in aussie 'culture' - thanks for that! and good luck with your rug weaving)

Duncan is an active and smart guy who is always open to ideas and will take on a challenge just for the fun of it. I'm sure he will do well in anything he tries and hope I'll kitesurf or ski with him one day.

Duncan is a very nice guy with Scandinivian experiences to share. Hope that we can go hiking together in the near future!
