This summary is not a replacement for reading references; it's a quick summary to help you get started. At a glance, you can see how many references a member has, and how many of them are positive, neutral, and negative.
In the second line, you'll see how many references came from people who hosted this member, surfed with them, and traveled with them. These numbers won't always add up to the total: some references are not categorized, and some may be categorized as more than one thing.
When viewing this summary, don't jump to conclusions! Things that are negative for one person may be positive for another, and vice versa. It's important to read references carefully and evaluate what that information means to you.
Egill was a great host; very welcoming and interesting to talk to. It's a shame we didn't get to share more time with him (we were out exploring most days) and learn even more about Iceland and Egill's adventures to almost everywhere. He is very easy to get along with and we had a lot of fun in the very short time we were in his company. Thank you so much for enhancing our stay in Iceland!
Egill is one of the most interesting people I've been fortunate enough to meet while traveling. His trips have brought him to remote corners of the globe where he has had amazing adventures. He was a hospitable host and offered me a bike to explore the city with, which was great. He's sure to do big things in the years to come!
Many thanks Egill for being my first host! I enjoyed the moments we spent together, it was nice to be with such an interesting and relaxed guy. Good luck with the chili recipe! See you again I hope, cheers, Laura.
Egill was an awesome host! he definitely has some amazing travel stories and has inspired me for my next adventure. Egill knew Iceland incredibly well and was gave some great advice. He is a relaxed and really fun person to be around. I hope to see Egill is Aus or maybe a random african or middle eastern country one day :) Thanks again Egill.
an extremely sharp-witted guy, with funny sence of humour. great host of course, don't think anybody could have any doubts about it. thanks for taking me on a nice bike ride and sharing the secret german knowledge how to prepare an excellent vegetable lasagne. will you ever be cycling around poland or simply passing bifröst just let me know, this time cooking is on me ;)
Egill was a great host! Despite the adversarial weather, we up into the mountains, and then into the hot pools, all the while exchanging stories from his many (crazy!) travels. Big thanks again!
Enjoyed getting to know Egill, and Reykjavik during my (too short) stop-over in Iceland. Egill is interesting, smart, and an excellent cook! Look forward to returning to Reykjavik someday to catch the northern lights. Egill, you are always welcome to crash my couch, wherever I end up!
Had a great first couchsurfing experience with Egill, Thanks for all the fun, and chasing the lights with me!
Iceland now has a special place in my heart, and you helped to make my stay so amazing.

We spent a really great time with Egill! Thanks! I'm sure he has a lot to share. We are supposed to meet again in summer during the Icelandic cycling trip around road 1. Hope it will happen!
Eric and his girlfriend are great! Adventurous, easy going, funnny and good to know! We had some nice pizza and ice cream together and I literally became their "livesaver" (citation from Eric) when they moved on to an other place and came back in less then 12 hours... :) I really hope beeing able to go to Iceland or Ohio on day... Greetings to Maddy!
