Emma Stime is a vivacious, curious, musically inclined starling that enjoys adventuring with guitars and half smoked cigarettes. She will teach you to juggle and smuggle and snuggle. She is related to Ethan Allen.

Emma is immediately a comfortable friend to be with. and a wise, confident, grounded woman to be sure. She and Alex offered my friend a ride to Portland via Craigslist and we offered our home for the night on their journey. One of those lovely fleeting nights of spontaneous shared community. Emma, you are always welcome here!

 

Emma is a die hard free spirit. She talks about her grand adventures with nonchalance. I was so fortunate to find her along highway 101 and spend the day with her exploring Arcata. There isn't much this girl hasn't done and is a personification of the phrase "anything can happen if you let it". She seems to know that everything will be alright and is unphased by changes of plans, as I learned while we tried to find a place to stay in Arcata. Shine on Emma.

Emma is one of the nicest, coolest and most genuine people I have had the pleasure of meeting. She is so much fun and definitely knows how to have a good time. I love her music, her soul and her awesome outlook on life. I would host her again in a heart beat!

The beer was good at Big Bad John's, throwing the peanuts on the floor even funner :) Emma is cool to hang out with and has some really interesting stories ( ask her about how and why she was late to work one day!) Looking forward to hearing more of them!

(update) Emma rocks! She has a way charming you with a smile and a song. I've been to several places with Emma (including Portland, Seattle and the Rainbow regional in Oregon) and have always had a good time (good Stime :). I will always have a special place in my heart for Emma, just as I'm sure you will too. She is resourceful, funny, and a damn good busker. I thoroughly enjoyed playing guitar and romping around town with her. If there was an option under "Overall Experience" such as "Uber Excellent" I would choose it instead of the bland "Positive" which I think is sad understatement. Props to you Emma and I hope to travel with you again soon!

 

Emma is a very real and down to earth girl. She will open your eyes to new perspectives in an amzing way and is always down for any sort of adventure! Weither you want to go on a four mile barefoot hike or busk in the streets of Portland, do not miss the chance to hang out with her!!!

Emma and I crammed a lot of hangout time into a few short weeks and I was So happy! and then sorry to see her go, but adventures must go on! she introduced me to the Ocean Island Hostel open mic (she knew every person in the place) and for that I am forever indebted. we painted our faces daily, drew on the sidewalk, stayed up all night, made green beer, went camping with strangers, hung with the kids, sang songs, ate dinner at her brothers place, floated on a dingy in fetus lake..dumpster clothes....good times, good times. sigh. anyway, very cheery and up for anything, you'll like her if you like people. and if you don't like people then why are you here

EMMA is an awesome person! full of energy and is super funny and resourcful. I learned about this site through her and other things as well (dumpster diving). I met Emma in Victoria and she was so awesome that I decided to travel along with her to California. Anyone hosting her on this trip will also be hosting me and vice versa!

I rode to San Fran with Emma this April. She is very reliable, trustworthy, and generally a fascinating and inspiring person! I hope you get a chance to meet her in this life

I met Emma while in Dublin. Unfortunately I was only in Dublin a short while before she had to depart (sorry I missed the farewell party).

 

The day I met Emma, I knew I'd found a true sister-soul. Got on extremely well with her, and really appreciated her vision of life.
I won't dwell on this, but I think Emma is an impersonation of the tooth fairy... "live to give"...she has it all in the heart.
More manly than a snail, her two personalities will seduce you. In a word, she's a lover.

Emma is a highly engergenic gal. We spent an afternoon in Madison, drinking beer at the Paradise Tavern off the Capital Square. I was in town visiting a friend who had to work all day. Emma agreed to meet me and we wandered around watching the city move retiring to the bar for a few beers. She has a big smile and much good things to say about travel and life. Has been all over and understands the improvisation that comes with travel. I think she would be a great fit to anyone's couch.

 

I'm so glad I met Emma at the Couchsurfing Bonanza in Madison! She's a wonderful girl with a great outlook on life. She's super friendly and is a great person to talk with and hang out with. She's a highly experienced traveler, so she definitely knows her stuff! She gets an "A" in my book!

The times we've hung out she was so awesome. She showed me all this hospitality and taught me lessons about living life to its fullest. It's the sort of thing that you'll only discover once you meet her. Emma's personality is bright as a shining star.

after spending a weekend together I can tell you, you'll never get bored with her! Haha!! Emma is great! One night while walking the streets of Mill Ave in Tempe, AZ Emma saw a HUGE cockroach and trapped it with her bare hands. We continued walking and when the bouncer at a bar wouldn't let her in because of no ID she said, "Here, I have a present for you." The bouncer opened his hands to find the huge cockroach! His expression was priceless.

Emma is crazy chic but yet also down to earth at the same time! Shes great fun to hang out with & a sweetie with great smile! I look forward to hanging out with you more! :)

Between smoking her pipe and running wild through the forest of Glendalough Emma knows what is important. Having fun and making a fool of yourself doing it. A great dancer and good for a laugh she would make a fantastic guest and an even better host.

Met Emma at the couchsurf meeting in dublin at the museum of modern art. I really loved the pipe (I should buy one for my own, it makes people so cool :-))
When going out buy her a bottle of fresh milk! Should also try the milk but think it is not good mixing with guinness or wisky :-)

Emma is the coolest girl around, totally funny and original and great fun to hang out with. She a mad traveller and a complete nomad, just ask her about it. Unbelievably nice and gets on with everyone, just an all round awesome girl. Also has a habit of falling asleep on benches :P

Emma arrived like a hurricane during the now-legendary St. Paddy's day weekend meetups here in Dublin, and invariably charmed us all with her energy, excitement, solo i-pod dancing/hiking, propensity for passing out from the drink, and general lust for life... then she left just as quickly like a whisper in the night off for more adventures in far-off lands. You are definitely missed here in Dublin, Emma, come back soon now and I'll teach you the rest of that song or else that ain't my last name!

Emma stayied at my flat for a week with another CSer and in fact was one of three who joined for a CS party in Liverpool. We had some great times looking for Seals in the Irish Sea to running through heather fields in the Peak District National Park.

bumped into this lady once or twice over the maddest weekend in a long time, she has that craziness that you have to love..dont ask me what we talked about but i could swear i remember her hanging of the window of some pub during the pub crawl..brilliant..well i bumped into her again over the week and she is brilliant, knows how to have great fun, and also knows how to lick chocolate off the plate, seriously the plate didnt even need to be washed. This lady is a genuine messer and i love it.. hope to see you again over choclate fudge cake, but be quick cause i will get the plate next time..hee hee..

Emma definately added a spark of fantastic craziness to what was already a crazy St Paddy's weekend! Don't know if it was the wet socks, the 200 random kisses, the stray handkerchiefs, or the ability to fall asleep, anywhere, anytime of day whilst balancing drinks on her head - but something tells me I wont forget Emma in a hurry! Well what can I say about Emma, I've never met anyone who can drink so fast! Had fun watching her get up to all her antics and I reckon that she beat all the irish at getting kisses 200+ and that was just one night. Emma you can always be my buddy (just don't loose me)

Emma reminded me of how wonderful it is to travel and be free spirited once again after being bonded into the daily work routine. She's an inspiration and I would love to experience more of life with her. We even stole somebody's alien together..
