i like fire, adventures, exploring, friends, traveling to new places and meeting new people. i love being barefoot, love to laugh, love listening to music, especially when it's live, and i love accents. i enjoy sleeping under the stars. when i have a car it makes sense and feels right to live in it. when i don't have a car, hitch hiking works just fine. i don't like owning things so i always try to lighten my load and give things away.
How I Participate in CS
i like to sleep on a lot of different couches and get to know the people who sit on them. CS gatherings make me happy, i love to meet new people from everywhere.
CouchSurfing Experience
i surfed a bit on my pilot's couch when i was a stewardess in hawaii and didn't have a home, and have CSed a ton in europe (especially dublin). surfed plenty in usa/canada too... met countless wonderful CSers at all the gatherings!
Interests
traveling, fires, fireworks, my pipe, guinness, cigars, cloves, the woods, love, eyes, chocolate milk, live music, good friends, funny people, starting up revolutions, seasons, awkward silence, driving, sangria, sailboats, adventures, young kids, weather, being inspired, olives, meat, sleeping in the sand/on the grass/in the street/in the woods, acting, pool hopping, not working, working, singing, cars, dumpster diving, montana, living out of my car, camping, swamping, wind, reading, fishing, unexpected ideas, cooking, couchsurfing, train hopping!!
Philosophy
i live for others. i want to give everything away, don`t want to be selfish. for me it is usually uncomfortable to feel comfortable because i know others are in a worse place than i am. i haven`t got much, but what i do have is yours.
Music, Movies, Books
i like a lot of underground bands. listen to a lot of big names, but more so small friend bands that not many people have heard of. #1 is storyhill. chris koza is a close #2. folk, indie, alternative, rock, gypsy, international, classical.... my favorite movie is lord of the rings and i like to read steinbeck or anything that inspires me = east of eden.
Types of People I enjoy
i love people. i enjoy a sense of humour despite the knowledge of all the suffering in the world today. i like to see someone with a mind of their own just as much as those who conform to what's around them. i'll like you when you're ready for an adventure, or when you want to relax with a drink and go deeper than the usual surface-talk. i like all kinds of people, odds are i'll like you.
Teach, Learn, Share
i can teach you how to hop a train if you'll go on an adventure with me across the country! at least across a state line...
my dad used to hop trains around the northwest states when he was younger. he took my mom on their first date along the tracks in a boxcar across washington, idaho, and montana. he taught all the kids in my family when we were young how to pull off this tricky venture. i can show you the ropes as best i can if you're up for experiencing it :)
One Amazing Thing I've Seen or Done
I traveled Europe by myself for six months couchsurfing. Tried being a flight attendant for six months and at the same time was homeless... Worked at an orphanage in el Salvador for three months and fell in love with the kids :)
Opinion on the CouchSurfing.org Project
i think couchsurfing.com is one of the greatest websites that is available. it is useful for travelers (like me) and for people that mostly would rather stay at home. couchsurfing is a good networking tool that brings the two types together. or, if you're part traveler/part homebody, you get to experience both sides of the game. this website is giving everyone that uses it reason to trust people more in this society that is based on fear today. i couldn't be more grateful for this service!
This summary is not a replacement for reading references; it's a quick summary to help you get started. At a glance, you can see how many references a member has, and how many of them are positive, neutral, and negative.
In the second line, you'll see how many references came from people who hosted this member, surfed with them, and traveled with them. These numbers won't always add up to the total: some references are not categorized, and some may be categorized as more than one thing.
When viewing this summary, don't jump to conclusions! Things that are negative for one person may be positive for another, and vice versa. It's important to read references carefully and evaluate what that information means to you.

Ever since we met under a streetlight at 3 in the morning we've been traveling together. Emma is a bright light in my life and the greatest friend i've had. I love Emma Stime!
Though, she never surfed my couch, I enjoyed hanging out with her and Atom during my breaks from work. Saw them hangin out on the street and invited them in for coffee, food, and convo. I enjoyed their company so much that I convinced them to stay even longer and drove 'em around a few times. Their dog is amazing, a big lover, but my landlord wouldn't let him crash with us, so I brought the awesome bunch to my friend's house instead. Miss you Emma!!!

Emma Stime is a natural traveler. So very cool. I had a great time hanging with her in Arcata.

Emma Stime is a vivacious, curious, musically inclined starling that enjoys adventuring with guitars and half smoked cigarettes. She will teach you to juggle and smuggle and snuggle. She is related to Ethan Allen.
Emma is immediately a comfortable friend to be with. and a wise, confident, grounded woman to be sure. She and Alex offered my friend a ride to Portland via Craigslist and we offered our home for the night on their journey. One of those lovely fleeting nights of spontaneous shared community. Emma, you are always welcome here!

Emma is a die hard free spirit. She talks about her grand adventures with nonchalance. I was so fortunate to find her along highway 101 and spend the day with her exploring Arcata. There isn't much this girl hasn't done and is a personification of the phrase "anything can happen if you let it". She seems to know that everything will be alright and is unphased by changes of plans, as I learned while we tried to find a place to stay in Arcata. Shine on Emma.
Emma is one of the coolest and most genuine people I have had the pleasure of meeting. She is so much fun and knows how to have a good time. I love her music, her soul and her outlook on life. I especially loved San Francisco with her in it!
