Chris rocks my world. The amount of energy and passion that he brings to everyday life is joyful in all ways!

This guy is one of the most adventurous, down to earth guys I've met in my life.

Chris is deep, a good conversationalist and very fun. He can make you laugh and think.

It was a pleasure meeting you! Sorry I didn't end up doing my project on the "Truth of Soy."

 

I happened to get a CS request from Chris the day he was arriving in Colorado. We had a great evening of conversation, good food, and even a bit of sight seeing before the sun went down behind the mountains. We couldn't have been blessed by two more positive young people ready to see and experience and give back to the earth. We were fortunate to get to meet Chris and Ei Ei on this brief but meaningful great summer evening in Colorado Springs. Smart as can be, conversational, kind, and what gentle hearts. Come back, dear ones!

Chris is a terrific guy; kind, friendly and thoughtful. Always looking to help others any way he can.

Christopher Robin is a gal's bestest friend, even though there were no women other than the two mothers in his namesake's life and he prob would have felt about girls the way Calvin and Hobbes did. This Robin, though, has enriched this Beija Flor's life with his gifts of food, music, stories, and flight. I'd stay with him anytime, esp cuz he's a fab cook.

What I remember most about meeting Chris was that he smiles a lot, in a very sincere way. He offered me a ride to Montreal, from Brooklyn, before we ever met in person, and that helped to spark a long series of traveling (hitchhiking too!) for me, ever since. I also have this great memory of staying with his aunt and uncle in New Hampshire, and then when we found out that CouchSurfing had crashed, we went on this adrenalized mission to get to the Montreal Collective as soon as possible and bring back CS! (while listening to French lessons from his ipod along the way, you know, since neither of us spoke any French yet)... Chris is really supportive of artists and art, as well as human & animal rights, which is part of what makes him awesome. I'm happy to read updates from him, and he's welcome on my couch any day, as soon as I have one again.

 

Chris and his housemates were great. He was my first couchsurfing experience, and it was very positive. Comfortable couch, friendly people, and nice conversation.

Chris is Chris and i love it. Just be careful in the mornings because he either is grumpy or he kicks you ass when you are grumpy and laughs at you for yelling at him.
Traveled for more than 30 days because life becomes traveling again when you have Chris is in your life. And we went to the Ardennen together, camping and hitchhiking...wine and cheese...

 

Chris is one of the truly amazing people I've had the pleasure of meeting, although we only met briefly during the 3 days together at the first Montreal CouchSurfing Collective. His wonder is a mix of charismatic personality, intelligence, optimism, spontaneity, and thirst for experience.

We first met in Montreal at the CSC. C's an awesome chap whom I have a LOT in common with ... sometimes too much. He can predict the end of my sentences, know what I'm upto next, or even know what I was up to in the past before ever meeting !! Call it freaky - I call it CS - and just that understanding of people and ways of life is all part of the spirit.
I only hope the world is enough for him on his RTW.

 

Chris is a wonderful person to have around. He is open-minded, a great conversationalist, idealistic, and ambitious. He always made sure he was not being a burden and trying to help out. He can come can tomatoes with us anytime!

 

While having smooth lunchtime conversations I found out that he is a very warm and considering person.
He choose to professionalize his personal dreams, which makes me admire him. He will get there!
When I'm in the US I most certainly will find him and give him plenty of hugs :-)

 

Chris was one of the guys whom I met in a small gathering of CSers in Belgium. That evening was really great as that special guys like Chris do not come to your way every day. Good luck on your mission!

 

Chris surfed my couch in Brussels together with fellow CS addict ShAi*. Brussels was the last stop of his long European journey. He's in the heart of CS and definitely has CS in his heart. It was really nice meeting him and talking about the CS project and lots of other things.

 

Chris became tech team leader at one of the hardest possible moments in time (won't bore you with details ;) ) yet he managed well considering the situation. I finally got to meet him at the Rotterdam collective. Chris is a very nice and interesting guy. He can be extremely sweet and caring, and tough when need be. Enjoy your studies dude, hope we meet again some day!

 

Chris is a passionate,kind,spiritual and very smart person to have around.A good company to be with and hang out,whether it's joining a total stranger on a skatetour or a few days later a tropical carnaval with eating home made food by my mom at the end.I hope to spend more time and have interesting talks with Chris in the (near) future.To be continued...

I meet Chris at the Rotterdam Collective and quickly started to appreciate his dedication and passion for CouchSurfing and making the world a better place. As we both are avid for the field of social entrepreneurship, many discussions touched this topic in one form or the other. I really enjoyed spending time with him including dedicated working on topics, ta(l)king walks while discussing ideas and spending time with friends, as his calm presence is making you feel at ease right away.
As I believe he has many talents and the ability for being a leader with heart and soul, I'm really looking forward to working with in the future.

 

Chris is a complex person who faces a challenging set of CS tasks with commitment. I appreciate his thoughtful comments and have enjoyed hosting him.

Its interesting how you can meet a person somewhat at random (yet not random at all ),and immeadiatley realise that you both flow together through life on the same current. Chris is well on his way through a never-ending journey of discovery of his self and those he comes into contact with, of life and what its all about.

Chris is a very friendly and spontaneous fellow. Funny and light-hearted some times and deep and profound at others… He’s really worth meeting and talking to. We were also speaking some Spanish and having fun. I can’t wait for our next meeting.

Chris is one of those few people in this world who is genuinely unselfish. After wading through the narcissistic myopia so endemic in today's world, meeting people like Chris is a breath of fresh air.

 

Chris is a very nice guy, interested in people, interested in The Netherlands, travelling around the world and a good ambassdor (and admin) for the CS community. I will like to show him Dutch culture and hospitality!

Grateful to life that our paths have crossed, I will not forget.

Chris has opened my eyes on the importance of spinning as a means to induce psychologically receptive states easily open to suggestion. I will never look at Salsa the same way again! This guy knows how to have fun, and his fearless attitude brings a great vibe to any group around him.

 

Chris is a good listener, great communicator and an overall awesome guy. I'm happy to be on a team together and I'm sure that we'll expand our friendship over time!

Finally I've got to know who's responsible for "Sorry the CS site went down. It will be back in a few minutes (hopefully!)". Obviously, Chris' definition of "a few minutes" strongly differs from mine... However, I can't really storm against him. I mean how could you ever be angry with someone who cracks walnuts with a hammer (he even got them out in one piece!), opens peanuts for you and, believe me or not, is actually a creamy Polish yoghurt?!? Furthermore, Chris is my only evidence proving that the bug really committed suicide. The few time I got to spend with Chris showed me that it is by far more important to know and meet such amazing persons like him and to be happy with every situation life's creating for us rather than having a perfectly working website... Seriously, even if the CS site might be down for weeks, I'd still trust him!

 

I tossed and turned for ages over my reference for Chris but sometimes simple things say it all. Chris is my sunshine every day and makes me want to break out in cartwheels of pure joy from having him in my life. *Update june 07* just as dazzling as the first time you turned up at my door. "I heard a ghost of your voice long after you had left the room, Couldn't quite make out the words but the laugh was unmistakably you"

Chris, what can I say, you're awesome! Your genuine smile is an automatic magnet to get to know your dynamic personality. You radiate a great energy with your sense of humour, kindness, and generosity and it was an absolute pleasure to meet you.

Chris is a very communicative, interesting and nice person. Probably the most sympathic american I ever met! Hope to meet you again soon Chris! Enjoy the rest of your travel through Europe and don't forget; if you're tired of Holland look for peace and rest in beautiful Belgium ;)

 

Chris is always there to cheer me up when I'm feeling low. I never seen someone who can make me smile so easily. And my mom likes him ;)

Great guy to listen to with his calm, low tone voice, full of assurance & respect. Chris must be an old soul... His perspective, insights and experience are a great asset to CS. I am thankful to volunteer with him. He is an inspiration and I look up to him. A great man indeed.

Soul of couchsurfer. listen to his experiences fills you of energy and open your mind to the amazing life of travellers. To know people like Chris do us want to be better persons. After a few days he spent some days in our house in Santiago I Was lucky to be with himm again in Porto and konwed the amazing Gabs. Thank you Chris.

We met on post-new year for soiree-shenanigans on a dark winter´s night in January. I´d heard so much about him before.. and was looking forward to the improvised randomness. He didn´t disappoint.. he is fantastic! He has sparkle and wit, and a lovely heart too. Come back again to Barcelona.. Lets do some cartwheels!

I came down off the mountain to host Chris in my borrowed Barcelona home and every minute was worth the trip. Chris is a seeker of life and it was great to hear and share some of his adventures. Chris is a guy. Had a good time wondering round Barcelona with him and surfing. Easy going and fun. He was also more than happy to help out when he could.

 

He was a ver good surfer, impossible to do it best: help me with the ordinary questions of living together with only one house key and some other people.

After a couple of months emailing each other.. ultimately random stuff, i finally got to meet the legend that is Chris.. and i wasn't dissappointed!!! He is a true ambassador for life!

Chris is a great dude and it was fun to hang out with him. We had a whole day together exploring the city. We checked out La Pedrera and Casa Batllo. Sorry we didnt say goodbye, but we didnt wont to wake you up.

His personality is as nice as his voice (very nice)! Singing and dancing with him in Warsaw was great fun! A person you can trust and have life changing conversations with! Was great getting to know him!

We were thrown in a house together like the real world in a project the first of its kind. I learned a lot from Chris and we are binded by our true dedication to CS. I was most amazed that he had a hunch at party back in April and took off to follow it. Im curious to see how it plays out. Take care burley. Let us know.

 

Well, there's a pic somewhere with our faces painted with the italian flag... And if you look carefully around downtown in Montreal you'll probably find a fountain with still some bits of us inside...INSANE! But he'll tell you it's been all my and my pitchers' fault! LIAR! Take care, mate, vamos a ver pronto. AND WE MET PRONTO! Absolute fun in Warsaw, partying like crazy, hanging around in the old town, taking pics here and there, drinking a beer or five, a shot of vodka or a bottle...Shame we didn't meet on mon! I have nothing but great memories concerning Chris. He's a lovely young man, ready to welcome you anytime with a huge smile on his face. :)

Chris is that guy who will entice you to do the things you want to do, but are a little afraid to, like run into a thunderstorm to dance (complete with jumping in lake-puddles to wash the autos in a car dealershop). He spreads joy wherever he goes, & defintely has a way avec words, wireless routers, & friendship. I feel now like I took him for granted when he was around, & now that I don't see him anymore, I really miss him. And his hugs. And his intense understanding. Chris is rad.

Chris filled my apartment with energy. He tried getting me focussed on my thesis, but it just was way more interesting talking to him. Too bad I didn't really have time to join him exploring Berlin or have more conversations about how to find happiness in yourself.

 

When Chris looks at you, you feel noticed. Then he twirls you around the dance floor, and you feel beautiful. Then he'll ask you questions about yourself, and you'll feel important. Thank you for all of that.

 

As my daughter's friend, Chris came into my home as my first Couchsurfer. He fit into the house as if he'd be one of my children. An extremely neat guest -- thoughtful and considerate, loving and gentle. Eager to learn about the inner and outer world!

Hosting Chris took my CS experience to a brand new level. He has proven that there are nice, genuine, trustworthy guys out there in the world, and that CS is definitely a place where many of them reside. :) As a result of my chaotic work schedule, I was not able to spend as much time showing Chris around Toronto as I wanted to, instead, I left him my keys and left him all alone to explore the city. But since it wasn't Chris' first time in Toronto and the fact that he is so adventurous, I didn't have to worry too much. :) Chris kept my loft in perfect condition, and when I came home, I actually found my place cleaner than I left it. Chris taught me a very important lesson in trusting people, and it was a very rewarding experience. Chris, I wish you the best for your year in Europe and you're always welcome here at my place in Toronto! "Trevlig Resa!" (ask the Swedes what it means when you are in Sweden!) ;)

spontaneous, fun, outgoing, real, trustworthy. overall, a great guy.

Chris has a big and good heart. He remembers good moments not by "Kodak" but his heart. He's brave enough to quit his comfortable life in SF and go to a trip of unknown. If you have a chance to host him a couch in his world trip, you will also find yourself a good friend.

Chris is one of those people that always seems to anticipate your needs. When you turn around to ask him a question he's already answering it for you. When you think of Chris you naturally smile. Sit on a couch, in a park, on the floor, and spend some time with this amazing person.

Chris is awesome! We went to college together and travelled around Ecuador together. He will always be a good friend even though we don't see each other often anymore. What a babe :)

Chris is a great! I know you will want to meet him because the fun is never ending(even when you are working at CSC). A little chat, a little drink or just hanging out, i know you'll have fun.

 

I spent some time with Chris at the CSC in Montreal. He is an organized and very focused person, but only on one thing at a time! :) He's an extremely intelligent and caring man, and I know his life will be filled with great things. It was a real pleasure to share some moments with Chris.

 

Chris and I didn't get to talk a lot, as he was quite busy balancing his private life and professionalism. But when we got to talk, it was an intense debate and exchange of ideas.
I greatly appreciated his ideas and understanding of the world as well as his free spirit.
I hope that one day, I get to actually sit down and talk about his comprehension of the world, and learn something from it.
Great meeting you Chris, and enjoy your life to the fullest!! :D
