Staying with Lorenzo is really pleasure! So friendly and clever guy, who it is great to talk with. Lorenzo is grea guy very helpful and ready to assist you in every sense. He start teaching Italian and met him in the class so i abide to say good things. Apart from teaching experience i felt he is really great guy enthuastic and always ready to tecch and help to all CS.

Lorenzo and his girl drove me form north to south sardinia and helped me discover a bit more of this island's culture

A couple of weeks ago I had the chance to spend a day with Lorenzo and Valeria.
It was enough to understand their warm, humourous and bright presence
is more addictive than heroin, and that's why their couchs are so sought-after:
once you meet Valeria and Lorenzo you'll start needing their company more and more.
So be careful with them: you could start buying tickets to Milan more than is healthy, and what is worst, you could start having a urgent need for a milanese cycling tour.
Forewarned is forearmed...

 

Lorenzo and Valeria are a great couple that me and my family had the chance to know and host.
It was a great pleasure to have the possibility to show my place to them.
they are a really polite, clean and friendy couple that we were happy to host for more if needed.

Lorenzo and Valeria are the kind of people you seem to have known for a while after you just met them; actually they are a lovely and polite couple of well experienced couchsurfers. We had a good conversation about CS meetings in Milan, work experience and much more while spending a relaxing evening in the Flumendosa valley and enjoying the easy-going side of life. Thanks for visiting us!

I knew since the very first mail this guy was worth being met and not just for the studies and parental background in common.
I was pleased to spend two days with a lovely and kind person, genuinely curious and attracted by the big and small things Sardinia can offer. I hope next time to share some CS gossip with you, Valeria and Luca, better with some pardule. =)

It is a nice surprised met Lorenzo, first in Milan and then for a great meeting in Sicily. His profile is really interesting and funny but believe me better you don’t miss to meet him. He seems clever and smart and a good observer. Really kind and open to know new culture, places and meet people, for sure he has a perfect traveller attitude. Lorenzo is a relaxed and laid-back guy (but not boring..:)). We met in Leiden where he stayed with a mutual CS friend.Because of his calmness and polite curiosity (and funny jokes when you least expect them) I immediately felt comfortable around him. It was a pleasure having him around and I hope we can meet again in the future.

 

Lorenzo was a very laid back, though active and curious wanderer while at my place. You immediately feel comfortable around him. Especially because of his nice cooking :)He organized several activities here, amongst them a very nice picnic. I'd say: If you get the chance to host Lorenzo, do it!

 

Lorenzo was a wonderful host who somehow managed to host me and my boyfriend for a night even when he was very busy with classes and meetings. I had a wonderful time learning a tiny bit of Italian in his Italian language class and really admire the way that he treats his students. I wish I had gotten to know Lorenzo better, but I value the time I spent with him. He is a caring, welcoming and passionate individual.

lorenzo and valeria were a pleasure to have in our home. coming to dublin was a surprise trip for lorenzo and i think he was pleasantly surprised. he is very easy to talk to and has a nice sense of humour. they are the only italians to get sunburned in ireland and also the only italians in the world who do not wear sunglasses, really they are an amazing couple! i hope to see you soon :)

What a wonderful weekend we spent together in a special atmosphere!! Laughing, drinking Lambrusco, partying and riding our special bikes dressed as butterflies!

I enjoy the lessons of Italian very much because he always makes us laugh.

Unfortunately I just stayed with Lorenzo for one day but I immediately saw he is a very special person. Besides being a great host he is a very good guide (I could come with him and his students on one a guided visit to Milan's city centre), and he let me meet his incredibly creative friends. I have a lot of respect for the wonderful wings they fabricated in a few hours using just coat hangers and socks!

 

I have some mutual friends with Lorenzo and I understand why!! He seems to be such a great guy... We just had 1 or 2 hours to talk but it was very interesting and funny, especially when Lorenzo tries to speak french ;o) Hope to see you one more time!!! Maybe in Brittany, you're welcome :)

Lorenzo is the first active Milano CSer I met. I was nervous and confused about my first CS event but Lorenzo came right up to me and introduced himself and made me feel at home. I trust him a lot, just from the few times I met him. That time we all had a picnic at Sempione was one of the nicest days I had in Milan! He is a lot of fun and very smart. Spero che un giorno, ci vedremo qualche parte nel mondo.

We had great, unforgettable times in Milan thanks to Lorenzo. Even if he was working, he helped us to get to his flat, made me possible to work on his PC (Hungarian Language Settings removed :P), and made us possible to enjoy the city.

We had great discussions about politics and about Italy, as well as about travel experiences. Finally, the Italian dinner what we could have with him and his girlfriend, just was the last thing what made our trip perfect.

Thanks for hosting us and for being a partner in such an unforgettable 'project'. :)

It was so nice meeting this couple! We went to La Latina to eat Canarian food, we drank coffee in la Plaza Mayor, we taste ice cream while walking in el Parque del Templo de Deboh, we made tumbing on the grass... all under the shiniest sun! :)
After, fantastic meeting in La Casa de Granada with a lot of MAdrid-CSers...
He had nightmares on il mio divano rosso...

We went to eat some verde for lunch the following day...

Lorenzo was a super kind and helpful host of us, we are very grateful to him, that even though he was very busy, he could spare some time being with us. I greatly appreciate the oppotunity to see a little from a life which seems genuinely altruistic.

I knew Lorenzo at a CS meeting in milan, my first.

When I met lorenzo, I was so thrilled I actually drove some friends of mine nuts always using him as an example to show how cool cs-ers are. really, I think he's the type of person I could talk to for days, and feel like I'm reading a great novel. In my view, it's thanks to genuinely true and meaningfully simple people like him, that the project is successful.

 

King Mazzi is one of the most culturally active CS in Milan. What great presence, beautiful aura and is a wonderful find in the community of CS.
Our bike trip together was so memorable. Lorenzo has natural way to make you feel at ease. We had so much fun even under the rain and cold weather!!

 

Lorenzo is one of the few real "milanese" but not conventional, with a deep and pure CS spirits. He can look so quite, but he hide an amazing actor skills, i think i will stop to hate Manzoni after his playing in the Treasure Hunt '09. Another amazing part of Milan group!

Lorenzo is friendy and esay going... and very fun! He's very keen on meeting friends and he's always at ease among people! We met in October in the Comitato, he has a great experience with kids and has helped me a lot.
Surely he's a great couchsurfer :)

 

Lorenzo, is a nice mate for soccer table sopccer games as we crezated the llosing team but joyful at the trento Bruno tournament jokes appart he knows loads about milan and how you can enjoy the town so i hope that when i will go there he can make me enjoy it better than my first impression. I have now seen him in milano but only a couple hours thanks to him i think i have succeeded to the exams

I am back right now from Berlin and I am still excited: I had such a great with him! Lorenzo is a special person: he contacted me to arrange a surprise for Valeria in Berlin and since the first email exchange he showed himself as a creative, intelligent and very kind person! Then, when I met him (it was the second time in my life) he proved to be even better! :) Lorenzo is full of energy and ideas: he brought us to do skin screen printer in a very alternative berlin workshop and then to relax until 1 am with saunas and steam baths! I felt so at ease with him and Valeria that I am starting to think that I was their sister in previous life! ;)

My week end in Milan was absolutely great, thanks to Lorenzo and his girlfriend Valeria, who both managed to let me comfortable and to organize nice events and tours for me.
Although Lorenzo was very busy in studying for an exam(I hope it gets well) he accepted to host me and tried to spend with me as much time as he could.He invited other Milanese CS to see an exhibition with us and brought me to cS aperitif (I love milanese aperitif!!)We also had time to talk in front of a good cup of of tea,about our travels, jobs, way of being part of CS group and many other things..I hope to meet you again, maybe in Tuscany? :)

Lorenzo is the (not yet crowned though) king of Panettone and he has the unique ability to cut it with any knife in the world which was highly impressive to watch ;o) He is also a very nice person and was awesome company (together with Valeria) for several parties and other encounters during their stay in Vienna!

It is always difficult to pick No. 1 if you are surrounded by great ppl like Im meeting here on CS - but Lorenzo and Vale were definitely among Top 5. They were so incredibly nice, cool, helpful, polite, curious, tolerant, flexible... They brought me fantastic original Italian food and they also cooked for me! Yummy!!! Thank you for that pure CS spirit you spread all the time. You are welcomed anytime again…

 

Lorenzo is a cool guy, very positive. We live in the same city but after ages we finally met in Bratislava. Thanks to commons friends. The temperature outside was very cold (the 2nd and 3rd of January, after San Sylvester), but among all of us very warm, we had some great time. :)

it's such a pity that i couldnt cs with Lorenzo, all because of heavy snow and a cancelled flight! but i'm glad we met for lunch and made some discussions about the various social issues in Italy and Singapore :P

Lorenzo is a human being with a beautiful soul. He is smart and listens when you talk. We biked through Milan in 1 degree weather and felt warm all over! From coffee in the morning to soup at midnight- he is a wonderful host! He looked after me and made sure that for the rest of my journey I am able to take his good spirit with me... From the moment we met it was as if we knew eachother, and that is something deeply sacred! Lorenzo is a great host, and an amazing friend!

I was so glad L & V made it to bonn, even though i was so sad to be working!! They felt instantly familiar. We had such a nice time having a cosy talkative breakfast with my friends, they enflamed them for couchsurfing!Thank you for your italian sunshine in november! We should definitly use the DIRECT train connection more often;)

 

Lorenzo and I had Saturday brunch together at 'Katrin's Flat' the best place in Bonn. He is a very happy and easy going guy - I look forward to hanging out with him in Milan. Possibly for 2010 Terra Madre or the local wine festival happening soon.

 

Staying with Lorenzo was so beautifully natural. From the very beginning, we matched like 3 musketeers: 2 masters of desaster (I don't know, if the Oscar goes to you or to me, Lorenzo ;-)), not really good at practical things and Joanna as a perfect counterbalance. Thanks to Lorenzo's warmth, his intelligence and coulourful personality, we enjoyed the sweetness of the moment, discovered the gentle side of Milano and shared loads of laugh :-))). I hope to see you, Friend, together with Valeria in the Middle-East European soulmate of Milano, in Warszawa, VERY soon!!!

Lorenzo is a very carying host, but at the same time not overwhelming, with lot of ideas that always perfectly correspond to what are you looking for. He has a congenial knowledge of his fascinating city, he has showed us the ‘real’ Milano what means to discover places extremely extraoridinary, superior and sometimes truly mystical. And the whole misterious story hidden behind. Lorenzo incorporates the essence of a perfect host.
And last but definitely not least: he also incorporates the essence of a real humanistic soul. He has an impressiv knowledge, sensitivity, intelligence, and just gorgeous sense of humour! It is hard to believe but sometimes it does really happen that only 3 days are more as enough to become friends. Just as you wrote. I’m sure we will meet again!

Lorenzo is a very very open-minded and easy-going person who is ideal for being a perfect host. He organised a CS gathering with another Milano CS members to shop around in Milano China Town and then had a enjoyeable dinner for Chinese food. We did exchange a lot in many aspect. Nothing better than knowing him for travelling in Milano. What can I say more ... I am too luckily being host by Lorenzo!

Lorenzo and me can talk 7 days a week and 24 hours a day. He shared many new ideas about CS, history and life with me. Also, after he took us to China Town in Milan, we get addicted to visit 'China Town' in other European cities druing our half year trip in Europe. Thank you very much.

sept 08: Lorenzo posted on CS about an (extraordinary) event he was organizing and I called to see if I could meet up with him and the participants. He graciously invited me to a small, local bar/restaurant and fed me, and gave me some delicious limoncello!

If that wasn't enough, he let me sleep on one (of his TWO) couches. We were up late-ish talking about life, love sex and stereotypes. He's a quick thinker, a dedicated worker and an absolute pleasure to spend a few hours with.

july 09: after many months of contact, emails and random connections we met again in milano. more wonderful nights of food, wine, fun, live traditional tarantello music and a crazy bike ride thru the intense rainstorms after a great cultural center party with live brasilian music. his brilliant breakfasts are quite the experience :)

i had a very nice time with lorenzo and valeria. they are positive and nice, and inteligent and open, always with a smile on their faces, ready to exchange stories/knowledge/gifts/everything. they stayed for one night (in a room with no light-i'm so sorry!), but it was enough to discover several mutual interests. i highly recomend them for hosting or surfing!

Lorenzo is a very nice Italian guy. It was the first time I've hosted Italians and it was such an amazing experience.

Had a great time cycling with him around CPH and spend 1 hour in Frederiksparken together. He and his friend Alessia are absolutely great to hang around with, because they both are very talkative and friendly.

I rather sad that I was not able to accompany them and show around the next day, but I really had great time talking with Lorenzo (sad that his friend didn't know English) and especially appreciate the book, they presented my as a gift! I met Lorenzo while couch surfing at his girlfriend’s apartment. He is a very friendly, nice and well-rounded person who is genuinely interested in learning about other people and different cultures. I was impressed with his knowledge about chalga (even though this genre of music does not particularly suit my taste), bah-nee-tza (a Bulgarian dish) and rah-kee-ya (a traditional Bulgarian hard liquor).

Lorenzo is a great guy. Is the better person to show you the real side of Milan. He prepared a CS Meeting for me and my friend, was the better introduction of Milan that we could have.

To share feelings and points of view, seems uncommon nowadays. But Lorenzo is really a fine and sensible person, as few people I had the luck to have met.
He works in the social and love to show to other persons the hidden things a city may forget. Even good manners.
Don't forget to send him a postcard after leaving his house, because he believe CS is not just hosting.

Due to a whole bunch of bad luck and unfortunate circumstances, we were unable to meet up as originally planned. I felt really bad about all our mishaps and feel lucky that Lorenzo was still willing to offer my friend and I lunch at his flat. It's really unfortunate that we didn't get to know each other better because our brief talks before/during lunch were very animated and interesting. Thanks for your understanding, Lorenzo!

 

I swear to all the people that start with CS to be lucky as me and to know such a great guy as Lorenzo. I mean that is has been the first guy that I met to a meeting, here in Milan. My experience couldn't start better! I'm having a lot of fun with him, even in Avila (my first international meeting) we had the opportunity to laugh a lot together. He's really the best, I can see the trough spirit of CS in him. Even when I drink too much spirits =) =)

Thanks also for you Lorenzo for hosting me after the concert. It was surely a nice "concert" and I enjoyed it almost as much as the concert on Tuesday. Hopefully we will meet at meetings around Italy.

 

I contacted Lorenzo six months before my intended stay, and he was a super guy for maintaining a correspondence with me that whole time. He also cooked me a delicious meal on my first night at his place, not a big deal for him, perhaps, but something this always starving backpacker is not soon to forget. I will definitely be visiting Italy again to visit Lorenzo and all the wonderful couchsurfers in that wonderful country.

Lorenzo is really interesting and friendly! Although there were some problems with our train and we couldn't stay at his place, he met us the next afternoon just before he left Milan and we had lots of fun. Thanks for the tips on where to eat - it was really great!

Lorenzo offered CSers to join him and celebrate his birthday in Bucharest.
I first met him at the CS dinner, where he proved how generous he is, for example offering a drink to everybody... even for people who didn't want alcohol (yeah, usually people who don't drink alcohol are disadvantaged, for once I wasn't, so a big thanks... and for the hot chocolate by itself of course)
Then some of us (the 2 of us, his GF, Adriana & Denisa), went to a D&B party. Lorenzo proved me that she was able to have fun, with nice moves :-p
Finally, I met Lorenzo & Valeria again the day after, when wevisited The Village Museum with Adriana, and he showed some high interest in Romanian culture.

Lorenzo was a wonderful host. He was was kind enough to take a train and a bus to meet us in front of the Duomo despite the rain. He cooked us a wonderful Italian dinner (I was taking notes) and had a wonderful meal and conversation with him and his girlfriend. It was eye opening to speak with them openly about everthing from culture, tradition, and politics. It was eye opening and refreshing. I hope all of our visits are as educational and inspiring. Lorenzo survived after meeting four parents, three grandmothers and one nephew , and now even my father accepts CS! Huge mission.
I had immediately a good impression when I first met him on a plane to Bucuresti, and these two days just confirmed that we have much in common and many things to share (also great music, I should say).

Lorenzo is extremely friendly! He hold different views about many subjects. It was interesting to exchange views via email prior to couchsurfing. He has this small corner in the couchsurfers room, where he keeps all pictures of couchsurfers. He treats everyone like an unique individual and make it a point to know people beyond the facade. "A curly man with a green jacket". This is what Lorenzo had told me about him before out appointment. Well, of course he is very much more. We spent a very nice time in a sunny Milan day together. He showed me the Milan he likes, his favourite area, his good addresses, the "little thing that a tourist just can't discover in a day" and that I enjoy so much. He taught me about History and it was sincerely interesting. We talked about many things, just because we had a lot to share. I enjoyed a lot. And this is not just a sentence.

Lorenzo, jaaaa, please come to Vienna, I´d love to host you&meet you again! There are not enough words to express how caring, funny, smart, creative, enthusiastic, adventurous... Lorenzo is. He made our Milano trip really special, introduced us to his city and the crowd of great CS people there. We count us lucky that he had some days off as well and really did spend that much time with us. It sounds kitschy, but it`s true: You`re just amazing and definitely our number 1!

Update: He did come to Vienna - with Valeria ;-) It was my pleasure to have both of them here, rescuing us (Viennese people) from a "boring" NY party by organizing one themselves, being known within 2 min. by everyone... Just meet him, and you´ll know what I am talking about!

Lorenzo is a very good host. Kind and crazy. He learnd me how to cook a risotto , milanese style :) We had great times with other cs during a dinner, a party and some good discussions around a huge piece of pizza. Thanks for everything!

I know for sure what a terrific couchsurfer he is, and i ve met some of his guests too, always sweet people.
I ve known this guy for a while now, we met several times while gathering with the CS Milano group and it s always been a pleasure to spend quality time together. What I like most, I must confess, is when he "aknowledge" me on something I didn t know before (oh boy, he is highly allitterate! :P ), the time spent at Como lake, the cigarettes outside the bars and the gossiping...Great guy!

 

Lorenzo defines ho,okipa (hospitality) He treated me with so much kindness and respect, and helped me get over my first, and terrible expereince with CS. I loved every minute of my visit. On the first night he introduced me to -my now favorite pizza place- and is now escorting me through a castle. I love his company and conversations. i am just so lucky that,my first couchsurfing experience is with this very nice and understanding guy with whom i have done all i imagine to do in Milano and especially in Como,visiting elsewhere until we are over,tasting everything which is new and lastly permanently thanking to him for everything as a turkish style=)

I first met Lorenzo during a party at our CS house then I haven't met him for longtime.. but now he is spending lot of time at our place, like he was the 5th flatmate even if he doesn't live properly with us :P Time spent with my wonderful "true" flatmates and him is unforgettable, we get on very well all together, we are sharing best moments of my life I think :)

Lorenzo is amazing. He not only shared his space with me and didn't get mad when I soaked his bathroom with water, but took me out for dinner and spent hours talking about political and relationships. Or political relationships. he is sweet and intelligent and made me wish i stayed longer! thanks lorenzo!

 

Lorenzo is a curious, investigative and humourous Lefti – of the italian specie a very dear one. It was very very pleasant to have him and Valeria around.

Lorenzo is one of those that you rarely find nowadays: true at heart, kind, generous, honest and broadminded. I enjoyed every minute spent with him since he made me feel at home and saw some aspects of his and life in general in Milan. Am certainly looking forward to seeing him in Istanbul.

He hosted me for 1 night in Milano :)

We had small cs aperativ meeting at evening and after went to his place !
he has really cool and colorful apartments..
He made my stay really comfortable and in morning made breakfast :)

Lorenzo is just the most caring host! He is the best host, funny, easygoing and generous / That was our statement 1st time around. Now we stayed at his place for the 2nd time and our opinion hasn't changed. He should be the ambassador of Milano or sth .. :) Luv ya and hope to see ya soon!

Very friendly! He also advised me where to go - Burano is a gourgeous island:) we ate delicious pizza with him and his surfers:) had very good time!

I first contacted Lorenzo because I was interested by the abstract of his thesis on his CS page. Then, we ended up seeing a photography exhibition together.

Lorenzo is an extremely radiant, interesting and polite guy. He invited me on a short trip to Venice and we had a great time: as a traveller, he is a real flaneur, who likes to walk and absorb the atmosphere of a city. He's not a hectic person, but the sort of traveller who will take his time to see a place properly.

If you travel with him or are hosted by him, you're bound to discover a lot of things related to the history and culture of the place where you are... But you will also know the place through its food and drink, for which we share a real passion!

I can guarantee the guy's very good company both as your guide, and as a fellow traveller ^_^

After many meetings, appetizers, trips, laughs, conversations and of the fantastic trip together in Andalusia and Avila, I am very happy to be a friend of Lorenzo. A very intelligent, nice, cordial, calm, helpful, funny and fantastic guy.He has my complete trust.
I relly hope to see him as soon as possible, cause now he is into my heart.

A new marvelous trip together with Lorenzo. I really enjoy every moment I spend next to Lori cos he can teach you a lot of things about everything and I'm always playing jokes on him but he has a fantastic sense of humor and replays with another joke. What can I say, he's one of my best friend who I would like to chat and spend time together all my life!!

Lorenzo was a wonderful host. He's outgoing and easygoing, and he seems like a natural traveller. He told me about all the picturesque Milanese churches, took me to see "She's Gotta Have It" in Italian, and introduced me to a bunch of other expatriates. And he said really nice things about my artwork. I had a great time surfing his couch.

Well, hard to say something but overwhelming. Absolute kind and polite and caring. And truly a philosophy and history teacher I can tell. He indulged me with millions of little presents, sent me chocolate from Italy, read La Divina Commedia as goodnightstory. Thanks for your patience and easygoing way to be. Felt like we know each other already for a long time. Well, we did ;)

I met Lorenzo in Berlin , we both traveled there. Leaving aside he is really funny , he is a really interesting guy, curious, and a great point of reference for cultural events in Milan

 

I met Lorenzo first on a cs-party and after this on a lot of other nice meetings. It's always a big pleasure talking to him whatever the subject is.
He's cheering, friendly and warm-hearted, you will definitely enjoy his company!

this was my first and quite sudden experience wit couch serfing..so i wonder if it si possible to meet such a good person as Lorenzo in the future, the experience is suspecioselly good))) just from the first day I had the impression we had known each other for a long time..a lot of friendly trust-this is an utmost impotant criteria for me..so i strongly recommend Lorenzo as host..a perfect host I d say!!!!!!!!!!!! perfect planning, he provides you with al necessary info, the map and so on.. one can rely on this person- that is great..he acts like a real teacher(which he actually is!), helping the child to find the own way, supporting where necessary and giving freedom when needed..

Lorenzo is a very good person! :) with a lot of interests, so friendly, kind and generous! It was like to be with an old friend :) My first week in Milano was really great thanks to him!! (hope to see you soon :) )

Lorenzo is such a very unique and fun person. What amazed me was that he is curious about all kind of things. He is the nice person at heart. He gave me the guidance about the city. I can tell that he is such a great teacher. He helped me a lot for me enjoying the stay!

Lorenzo is a very generous and caring person. My Italian improved thanks to his patience and explanations and thru our conversations I gained lots of insight into Italian life. As much as he loves food, I haven't been able to convince him to try vegemite!

We loved staying with Lorenzo! He was so fun to be around, showed us around the area, was very patient with our myriad of questions about the area and truly enjoyed spending time with him. I would give Lorenzo an excellent reference and say that he had a very comfortable couch!
