Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

just beginning to dip my toes in couchsurfing ocean. this year 2009 i surfed 3 nights in York and 1 in Santander, and an Australian couple and a Californian woman surfed my couch in Wales. Very pleased and excited by both surfing and hosting. Also got myself verified.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i'm new to CouchSurfing but have done lots of sofa surfing in different phases of my life, and some putting up of guests though i haven't always had the space. See "how i participate" above. I also got several requests turned down to stay in Brighton and Winchester this summer. One thing about this profile - where it says last login, it usually gets the location wrong, i'm usually either in Knighton or Oxford, it says places in Surrey or Sussex.

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

i'm not keen on tv, film, amplified music, and modern novels. i find pre 20th century and non-european culture more sensitive, more in tune with nature, and more about personal participation rather than spectating. but i like escapist magical fantasy. Special place in my heart for Mervyn Peake, Incredible String band, Spacegoats

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

LSD trips back in 1967. Don't do it kids!

Teach, Learn, Share

whatever i know i'm happy to share. you may need to ask as i don't fit labels
