Former couch description as of 2008, Brazil
Rio Tavares, a beach between Joaquina and Campeche beach. It's a place in southern Brazil where I have my beach house.
I live alone with my 3 pets. I have a couch on second floor (office). I don´t smoke and I prefer waking up early when is better for surfing. My place is near Padaria Dupão (Dupão bakery on SC406 road), 15 minutes (by foot) to the beach. There are buses around. I work everyday, but I´m free on weekend. That's why I prefer couchsurfers on weekend. I think 2 days are enough, don´t you?

Learned Japanese when 12 years old and surf at 27. Left everything behind and start again at 35. All these facts have changed the way I see life.
Opinion on the CouchSurfing.org Project
CS is a great idea. If the administrator keep listening to the end users it will always get better. CS should work with different web browsers (including on mobile phones).
This summary is not a replacement for reading references; it's a quick summary to help you get started. At a glance, you can see how many references a member has, and how many of them are positive, neutral, and negative.
In the second line, you'll see how many references came from people who hosted this member, surfed with them, and traveled with them. These numbers won't always add up to the total: some references are not categorized, and some may be categorized as more than one thing.
When viewing this summary, don't jump to conclusions! Things that are negative for one person may be positive for another, and vice versa. It's important to read references carefully and evaluate what that information means to you.
I met Eduardo at the airport here in Hilo and again at a mutual friends house. He spoke English well and made a great attempt to understand us but I know we both talk fast. He was very upbeat and cheerful as well as informative and easily engaged in conversation. look forward to meeting him again.

Edu & Claide were delightful guests!
Such intelligent, well organized CSers are sure to be welcomed everywhere!!!!
Sorry we had so little time together with our busy schedule but I'll always remember your kindness in teaching us so much about your home in Brazil. Many thanks for your generous gift of the Brazilian Flag...it's hanging in Adam's room..he claimed it immediately!
My gift is the beautifully illustrated literature on Santa Catalina. It sounds so lovely, we'd love to visit!
Eduardo is an easy going and friendly guy who tried everything to make me and my friend feel comfortable when he hosted us. He and his girlfriend Cleide shew us all the beautiful views, the best restaurants and had a lot of interesting things to tell about their home region, and in general. We liked each other more and more during our stay, and he is responsible for my recreation from my cold cause he allowed us to stay another night. thanks so much, and you botn are heartily invited to visit us back!
Eduardo has a wondeful little house in the middle of nature, I slept extremely well on his couch and enjoyed very much my stay in Ilha Santa Catarina. He is a really good host who cares about his guests and also his dogs are really nice! We had some good dinners (chocolate sushi, mmmmh!) and interesting and funny conversations with him and his girlfriend Cleide. They are wonderful relaxed and cool people - come to visit me in Berlin everytime!
We met through Kerstin in Vienna and we had a nice chat. Have a nice Europe trip. hope 2cu again, perhaps in Brezil

Eduardo allowed my girlfriend and I to stay in his beachside house for several nights and was kind enough to show us around the island, take us out for food and even help us lug our bags around town. A great couchsurfing experience!
